While I didn't really need one with wheels, this one was the right dimensions to fit into my hitch rack with the other cooler and the wheels will make it much easier to move around so that's a bonus. The cooler is the perfect shape for drinks, as it's tall and narrow so it will easily accommodate bottles of wine or beer without having to lay them on their side. I haven't used it yet and don't have any camping trips for a few more months, but I fully expect this cooler to be up to the standards of the Coleman name. I looked for 2 weeks trying to find the right cooler. Looked at all the high end super expensive brands. Besides costing $300 - $400, they weigh 35 to 45 lbs - empty! This cooler is perfect for our needs and the ice stayed frozen for more than a couple of days. Nice size and quality and ease of use. We were replacing a 30+ year old Igloo of the same style. I'd say this is very comparable. The fact that it doesn't have a latch isn't important to us - the lid fits snuggly. I am a female, 68 years of age. Empty, I can easily carry the sturdy cooler; it easily fits into the trunk of my 2015 Nissan Altima. I placed 80 16.9 fl oz bottles of water in the cooler with room to spare! I'm sure it could fit in the back seat of my car. I would have preferred the hinges be metal instead of heavy duty plastic.
