Only works for cold water from the tap. It is not possible to add in ice or hot water unless it is from a tap. However, for the summer and the outdoor activities we had, it was great. It does not leak water during transportation. It was pretty cheap, too. So with 2 of these, we were able to get cold water to a ton of kids. ... show more

    • Seal issue
The product overall is great and very sturdy. I ordered multiple of them but one had a bad seal and leaks. A minor fix but still frustrating so plan on getting new seals.

I like that it’s a little smaller. I got for camping for an extra water outside of camper to wash hands. I think it’s a little expensive

    • Nossel more cheaply made and leaks continously
I had an old coleman 5 gallon jug for 10+ years that worked perfectly. The nossel finally gave out and cracked apart. I first ordered a replacement nozzel which was obviously more cheaply made than the older version. Thinner plastic, thinner o-ring, and wouldn't tighten completely but instead released when trying to tighten further. It leaks terribly so l returned it and bought this entire new jug. While the new jug appears to be similarly sturdy as the old version, l again had the same issues with the nozzel. More fragile plastic, thinner o-ring, not tightening completely and leaking terribly. I even added seam tape but it's still leaking continuously. I'm very sad to see coleman is reducing quality to the point their products can't fulfill their main purpose of holding water without leaking. This is especially frustrating as l'm currently on the road dealing with this and just woke up to a soaked camp kitchen in my teardrop. ... show more
