The good and bad: This was extremely comfortable during a beach trip. There were no issues with it blowing away in the wind which was an initial concern. Because this was on super soft gulf sand I’m not sure the included stake served any functionality for me. I should note I used it under a beach canopy so I’m sure that kept wind exposure to a minimum. My solution was setting something on top to weigh it down when I went in the water. I really appreciate how lightweight this is, when you have to carry things to and fro. And I didn’t have to deal with getting sand trapped on/in it like you get with a beach chair. I brought both with me however since my husband carried a lot of this. I was unable to inflate it myself and am sure I looked like an imbecile swinging it back and forth trying. Plus that motion isn’t conducive to a SLAP tear. My husband had no issues at all. It stayed inflated for the most part. After hours of use; it did loose some air, but by then I was ready to go anyway. The biggest negative and something to be aware of when considering this, is that it’s a major challenge and chore to get out of this though. Nothing graceful or attractive about the way you have to basically make yourself fall out, roll over to your knees and show parts of yourself nobody but your spouse should or might want to see. Maybe this wouldn’t be a challenge for a 20 or 30 year old. My friend bought one too and she’s probably close to 300 lbs. She never attempted to use it, but am confident it held her, but I know it may be an embarrassing situation it popped. Honestly I think after watching me get on and off of it was enough for her to know she didn’t want the hassle. I love it has a carry bag, but honestly, it was just easier to fold up and put in my large beach bag going back and forth for an extended trip. For storage purposes, I didn’t mind the hassle of fitting it inside the small bag. Too much to do everyday, unless you’re anal like that. I’m thinking this would be ideal for a festival. And will definitely try it for that purpose. Maybe it won’t be as hard to get in and out of on hard ground. ... show more

Took these on a camping trip with 30 people. Our 20 teens took it over the second I hopped out (ha, yeah right, “hopped” ;), and it was hilarious to watch how many different ways they could make use of it. Every single one put it on their wish list for the next campout. If they weren’t so overpriced, I would make that happen myself just to watch them play. For comfort, it it seriously a great way to lounge. Several kids commandeered it for a nap at different points, and we also used it as a couch with 3 snuggled against the cold. This is not just for sunny days. We had it out in the rain and freezing cold weather. I had originally planned to use this as my bed, but getting out is so tricky I was afraid I would wake half the camp every time I tried. On that note, even our very agile and athletic teens couldn’t get out without help; so if you find it challenging, it’s not JUST that you’re getting older. Ahem. It is comfy, I can sleep on the thing. I plan on using it for more camping trips and music festivals because it is super portable. My one and only issue with it is it is not fun to inflate. You literally have to RUN and find a technique, like a quick and fast scoop to get it properly inflated. Honestly you look stupid doing it buuut it makes people laugh and creates a conversation starter... but I don't want to get winded every time I use it, because that's not practical for me. I freakin love this thing. I take it to every music festival I go to. One venue I went to was pretty rocky so I was worried it would rip but it never did and I weigh almost 300 lbs. I'm 6'5" so my feet hang off the end but its still so comfortable. Everyone in my group was asking to sit in it the entire weekend. If you know what you're doing it is pretty easy to inflate (youtube has some really helpful videos). If you can, buy a folding hand fan. Hold the lounger open with one hand and fan air into it with the other. This is the absolute easiest way to fill it up and it takes like 10 seconds (even easier if you have a friend help you). Sometimes I even blow this thing up in my living room to watch TV cause it's comfier than my couch lol. ... show more

We take our waverunners out to Anclote Island as often as we can and there is nothing worse than sitting or laying on the beach. I’m a bigger guy at 6 foot 235lbs and my body needs comfort while relaxing on the beach. We have limited room in the storage area of the waverunner so getting this inflatable lounger was awesome. There’s an art to fill it up but once you have the technique you can’t beat the comfort and relaxation you can get by purchasing one of these. I bought two, for my wife and me.
