Something interesting about these chairs is the type of wood used. Ironically, as a woodworker I never used rubberwood (don't not even recall hearing of it) to build furniture but when remodeling restaurants back in the 90's, I used to refurbish their chairs to save in the process and just realized that most probably was rubberwood! You may think this wood is somewhat flexible, but is not. It's a hardwood that fetches a lower price because it's a byproduct in the process of extracting rubber from trees. However, it is strong, easy to finish and stain in desired tone, and warp resistant, perfect for interior furniture because is not decay resistant. This chairs look great and feel strong enough. I personally love all shades of gray, so I think they look gorgeous. They may be good for commercial purposes too, but I would have preferred polyurethane instead of this cloth upholstery. I feel comfortable and safe sitting in these chairs (I weight 175lbs), but they have a stated weight capacity of 300lbs. ... show more

This is a great set of chairs. They came well packaged and were surprisingly light. They only took 15 minutes to put together. All you have to do is screw the legs on and they are ready to go. They are beautiful, sturdy, made of high quality materials, and are comfortable. The cushion is nice. It adds a bit of soft support but aren’t incredibly cushy. I love the thickness of the fabric and it seems like it will stand up to wear. The color of the fabric is nice. It is a bit darker in person than appeared online. They looked more ivory online but are definitely beige like the description. ... show more

These set of chairs is of good quality and beautiful. It’s very easy to assemble, and very comfortable. We bought it to replace our old chairs in our breakfast nook, glad we found this minimalistic design and is perfect size and great value.
