Doesn't hold sleeping position

The chair is a very nice mid-century design and was easy to assembly. However, I'm giving it one star because the chair write up is incorrect. The write up states "... two adjustable reclining angles, perfect for reading, sleeping...". This is incorrect!. It reclines and holds its position 120 degrees for reading but doesn't hold its position for the 135 degree sleeping position. As a result, one cannot sleep on it. This is what I purchased it for. For me, the chair is worthless and a waste of my money.

Nice chair, but not without faults

In general, this is a very nice chair. It is very well-made. All the seams are well sewn and the chair is sturdy and easy to put together. It looks very nice in the place I had in mind for it. There are two things why I gave it only three stars: there is a black spot smack in the middle of the arm rest. It looks like someone tried to cover up a fault in the wood with a black pen or a Sharpie, lol. I only noticed it when I had half the chair together already. The other thing is that when you lean back the chair to the first level, the foot rest will not go up very much. What that means is that, if the back is leaned back a little, my feet are still pointing down, which is really not the purpose of having your feet up. The only way the foot rest comes all the way up is if you put the back all the way down. Otherwise a nice chair and I would recommend it for the price.

Easy assembly and it works
For the money it’s great. Assembly: Couldn’t have been easier. I’m a 71-year old woman with herniated lumbar discs and torn rotator cuffs. It took me 15-minutes to assemble it myself. Function: Comfortable, good lumbar support. Esthetics: It doesn’t look like a top-grain leather recliner, because it’s not. but it’s a nice-looking piece.

Measure your space well before you order.

This chair looks smart and slick and modern. It is not comfortable really, not for a long sit. But for an occasional chair, it’s fine. It is old style, you have to recline/push it back by your own strength but a senior person like me was able to do it easily enough. If you want to recline all the way and sleep, it doesn’t stay in position unless you push your weight way back. Be careful a out the soace you have allotted, this acrually too snug where I placed it. Now having said all that, what do you expect for that price? It’s a bargain. It was easy enough to put together by my son. Would have taken me too long. Funny story. I ended up ordering this chair twice in error, cancelled within an HOUR, but the seller would not let me cancel. My husband also ordered it and it arrived in 2-3 days! So now we have to take back the other deliveries when they arrive (or refuse to accept?) to UPS, a hassle. Whole Foods cannot handle big boxes.
