The Vice appears to be well made. The finish is nicely applied. I’ve read horror stories about vices breaking at the jaws and I am glad to know this vise is made with ductile steel instead of regular cast iron or cast steel. I purchased the rubber jaw protectors right after receiving my Vice and everything together works great at protecting whatever is clamped in the Vice. I am definitely happy with this purchase. It’s bigger than I thought it was going to be which is great. I’d definitely recommend this vise. Also there isn’t a lot of slop or play in any of the movable parts. This vice is heavy duty and has a couple of interesting features such as you can swing it over and use it to hold onto piping also you can purchase separate jaw covers to protect what you are holding.
