This set is good for its price. The biggest thing I was disappointed about was the scissors. They are awful. They do not cut through the thread. The rest of the kit was pretty good. Nice to have for small fixes while traveling.

Can't beat the price. You get exactly what you need for a sewing emergency. Personally I repacked the items because the plastic box is very brittle, the foam chunk a waste of space and I didn't need all the items. I transferred most of the items into a Altoid mini tin that's more durable and compact. In the photo you'll see what I left out; 1) One of the three thread spools 2) plastic thimble 3) scissors 4) snap caps. My reasoning is two out of three in thread is enough in a pinch, I have scissors on a Swiss Army pocket knife and the thimble is an unneeded luxury. I actually added more safety pins instead of the snap caps. Also, I've used the Altoid mini tin as a makeshift "thimble" to protect my fingers when sewing. ... show more

Mice kit for the price. Good thing to have on hand for various reasons. Type of thing you could store anywhere, like the glove compartment.
