Bell sounds great, carabiner is absolutely crap. Very hard to get off a dog collar. Also the whole thing is too long and dangly. My dog lost it in the brush the third time he wore it.

This bell just isn't loud at all. I bought this to replace another cheap bell I lost. I like to use a bell when mountain biking so people can hear me coming, but this bell is probably quieter than my bike. I tried a couple different spots on my bike, even resting on the lowers of my bike's fork, but it was way too quiet. Build quality seems good for the price, and I'm not worried about the bell falling off with the carabiner, but it kind of fails at it's intended purpose. ... show more

An inexpensive item but we lost two in the woods quickly. If your dog likes to run through the woods these will tear apart in no time. One bell and carabiner clip totally vanished in the woods, and the other snapped apart today as pictured. As others have noted, the carabiner itself is a pain in the neck to engage/disengage. Buy one that has a better carabiner/attachment to your dog. ... show more
