I like the mat because it doesn't absorb drips of coffee around or near the coffee maker. That was the downside of my former mat with coffee labels as the decorative pattern on it. However, the new mat, solid black, shows every grain of sugar, etc. That is its downside.

I cut it to use a portion to rest under my window ac unit that drips condensation, a tiny amount but enough to be a nuisance. Now no puddle of water collects. It’s perfect and stylish too!
