Description

This coffee is what off-the-shelf brands are trying to emulate when they offer “100% Colombian” blends, but not one of them comes close to the quality of our fresh roasted Colombian Supremo beans. This classic artisan coffee is light roasted and displays a smooth yet complex body and a bright, sunny acidity. These large beans feature undertones of juicy lemons, brown sugar, and milk chocolate. If you are new to buying freshly roasted coffee and don’t know where to begin, or if you’re a veteran, this selection will satisfy your coffee craving!

  • Great taste, great price, consistant, but Amazon Subscribe &......
Flavor Name: Colombian Supremo (Whole Bean) Size: 80 Ounce (Pack of 1)
........and Save needs a lot of work!!! I have used Subscribe and Save for Coffee Bean Direct for a few years now, and one problem persists: Amazon refuses to put a finer variation on choice of order frequency!!! According to their chart I can order once a month or every 2 months, etc. The problem, of course, is that 5 pounds lasts us 6 weeks on average, so we either run out, or get too much that ends up hanging around. I want it as fresh from the roaster as possible! If I order more, out of turn, they try to charge me the full price, so I have to call them to explain to get the S&S price, which is about $6 less per 5lbs than the normal price. It's great coffee, though! Howard Emerson Huntington Station, NY ... show more

  • Flavor!
Flavor Name: Colombian Supremo (Whole Bean) Size: 80 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This tastes like Colombian Supremo used to taste, almost. Don't know what's happened to the coffee industry but about 10 or so yrs ago the brands of Colombian Supremo we used to buy suddenly seemed to loose a lot of their flavor. At first I thought it was just me but my GF agrees. Then we tried different coffee pots. Nope! Anyhoo, this is better than whatever we've been sampling over the years as far as home brewed ground coffee goes IMHO. ... show more

  • Good Quality Bean, Stands Alone, Also Nice for Blending. This bean is great as the basis for the blend.
Flavor Name: Colombian Supremo (Whole Bean) Size: 80 Ounce (Pack of 1)
BLEND this for a Great Smooth cup of Coffee! Easy to do. These coffee beans arrived quickly, however there were not in a vacuum packed pouch. Store in freezer (stay cool) to minimize the oils in the beans from becoming rancid & ruining the taste. These beans were nicely and uniformly roasted to a nice brown. No dark, burnt, over-roasted beans here! (If you want a darker roast go for French Roast or Espresso roast(-for morning java consumption, many prefer this lighter roast. ) Columbia Supremo beans are a bit larger. These are plump and uniform (no old dried out beans). These Supremo beans will stand alone for a nice, non-acidic, robust cup of coffee. Note: To minimize/neutralize acidity a very small amount of sugar (tsp or less) is nice. Blended it with 60% Columbian Supremo (more robust, stalwart bean) and 40% Tarrazu, then just loaded up the coffee hopper on the maker. Those beans in there do fine at room temp for every day use. Predictably great coffee-nice way to start the day. Update: Nice with Yirgacheffe: More Supremo as base (about 40-45%). Get creative. Throw in some lighter ones- eg Tarrazu., Yirgacheffe. Can add a bit of Brazilian Santos (not too much). I prefer the coffee beans to be brown for flavor-not black or excessively roasted, although major Coffee Houses have trained people to like the over roasted-near burnt beans. To me, that brings out acidity & harshness. But, to each his own, right? Other ... show more

  • Coffee Heaven!!!
Flavor Name: Colombian Supremo (Whole Bean) Size: 80 Ounce (Pack of 1)
This is some of the best coffee I've every had. I'm very picky about my coffee and very rarely drink coffee that I didn't make myself so I'm always looking at new coffee machines and coffee and I think I've finally found my nirvana, this coffee and my Bunn café coffee machine. I've only had coffee this good before when my grandson was in the hospital and I would go to the coffee cart and they had Columbian Supremo. It made sitting in the hospital a little bit easier. We are liking it so much that I have to change my subscribe and save to earlier than expected. If they ever change this I don't know what I'll do because it is fabulous. Well, it's changed. It is not near as good as it was even though the price has steadily been going up. This is the second delivery that has not been good at all. I really should send it back and I'm really not sure if I will but at any rate it is not as good as it was. I contacted the company directly and they basically told me that they have no control over what Amazon does with the coffee after it's delivered to them. I'm thinking that they have too much in stock and it is being stored wrong because now it basically tastes rancid. I'm really bummed because I've really been used to great coffee for about a year and now I have to look for great coffee again. ... show more

  • Perfect Coffee IMHO
Flavor Name: Colombian Supremo (Whole Bean) Size: 80 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Great price for a monster amount of coffee that is perfect. Colombian is my favorite, eventually I will branch out to try the other wonderful sounding flavors offered by Coffee Bean Direct. I love the aroma from the opening of the bag to grinding to brewing. Once opened I store in mason jars, I'm personally not a fan of freezing coffee. I am a coffee fiend, I have a hand grinder just in case the power goes out, I can still have coffee available. It is so wonderful to be able to get 5 pounds of this delicious coffee. Perfect coffee, IMHO. ... show more

  • Possibly tampered/contaminated coffee.
Flavor Name: Colombian Supremo (Whole Bean) Size: 80 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I’ve ordered this coffee a few times and have always been satisfied. Until today. Originally ordered a few days ago and was informed item was delayed and would be delivered on the original date. New delivery date was quoted as Feb 3rd. Not good, need the coffee sooner. Ordered another brand of coffee that ended up being cheaper per pound even buying 6lbs versus this package at 5lbs. Order placed and go to request a cancel of this order. Cancellation was denied. Annnnndddd then I got a shipment notice saying the coffee was shipped. 11lbs of coffee total… great. Order was delivered just a little while ago. I opened the box, smell of coffee beans I’ve been very happy with before wafting out of the box. Take the bag of coffee out and what do I find? The bag had been punctured and the puncture was taped over. Can’t be returned either. Possibly tampered with, ingestible product? Yeah not happening. So Vaya con Dios 5lb bag of Colombian Supremo. Pictures included. ... show more
