There are nights I really just want to get to bed so the morning will hurry up and get here for my cup of coffee. I am sipping on a cup as I type this review. My husband and I started using whole bean a few years ago. Last year we started to experiment with different brands, flavors, and blends. We love the Breakfast Blend specifically because it is smooth and creamy, with a good mouthfeel and just enough caffeine for the morning get up and go. We really like most of what Coffee Bean Direct has to offer. Some are just not to our taste, of course, but most are spot on. I used to drink my coffee with sugar and cream to cut through the bitter flavor, but I now drink only with a touch of sugar (and sometimes without). This is by far the best coffee I've had. My husband is a bit of a snob where coffee is concerned, and Coffee Bean Direct is his go-to. I've been buying beans from Coffee Bean Direct for about the last 4 months or so... my husband and I have a Breville coffee maker that grinds the beans right before it brews the coffee so we go through one of these 5-lb bags every month to month & a half. They have always been fresh with some of the oils still on the beans (which I love) and they stay pretty fresh in the bag until they get used. Like I said, we go through 5-lbs in a pretty short amount of time, so if you're going to use them at a slower pace, definitely figure out how to store them in an air tight container. The price is great at ~$35 for the bag. My favorite so far is the Breakfast Blend because it has a nice smooth flavor to it. ... show more

I personally don’t like the flavor of this breakfast blend, it’s strong, reminds me of Folgers. The aroma is strong as well. The whole beans were right at one month old and grinded smoothly.

I just love Coffee Bean direct. They have some very fresh coffee and its such an amazing deal. Grocery store coffee has been sitting there for how long? And the gourmet ones sit out in their bulk display in the air ... it gets stale. This stuff is amazing. I store it in double sealed freezer zip lock bags (Do not store in the freezer) and it stays so fresh and good, I will keep buying my coffee from Coffee bean direct. Can’t get whole bean in the grocery store, this coffee is delicious, it’s fresh, and shipped fast. Would recommend to the true coffee drinker. It’s not supper strong but not weak, just right for me.
