I read a book called “An Apple A Day” which talked about common food myths and interesting food facts. One of the facts was that cocoa flavanols were proven to lower blood pressure. The only issue is that the quantity of flavanols in day a candy bar is quite low so one would have to eat many chocolate bars to have any sort of measurable flavanol intake and at that point you’ve just eaten 10 chocolate bars! This is why the flavanol capsules are helpful! I bought these for my husband and when he was regularly taking them, his BP was a few points lower. Highly recommend if you can take them consistently! Perfect high quality dark chocolate in capsule form. You could take 2 a day as it says, but I loosen the 2 capsules and empty into yogurt or hot chocolate. Yum. Good for heart and brain.
