Medium shade gives skin a subtle glow and is great for lighter skin tones. Dark is ideal for medium skin tones for a back-from-vacay bronze. Ultra Dark delivers a deep, rich tan. If you're new to self-tanning, it is recommended to start with Medium. How should I prepare my skin before applying for the best results? Remove unwanted hair and exfoliate thoroughly, ideally 6–24 hours before applying. Apply tan to dry skin with no moisturizers. Apply a small amount of moisturizer to very dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles to prevent product from over-absorbing Is the mitt applicator included in the kit? Do I need anything else for application? Yes, a soft velvet tanning mitt is included in the kit. For harder-to-reach areas like hands, feet, wrists, and ankles, a kabuki brush (sold separately or in bundle kits) can be helpful for more precise application. How quickly does the mousse dry once applied to the skin? The mousse dries quickly, typically within 10 minutes, making it convenient for individuals with a busy schedule. We recommend wearing dark clothing while the color guide is on and the tan is still developing. What does the tanning mousse smell like? Does it have a typical fake tan odor? I was hesitant to order this because I thought it was a little expensive, but I will have to say it is worth every penny. The best self tanner I have ever used. It looks so natural. No orange color, no smell, no streaking and it lasts for several days before you need to reapply. I bought the medium color because I have fair complexion and it was not fake looking at all and super easy to apply. After two decades of self tanning I’m not easily impressed, it takes a lot to please me with self tan products. My natural complexion is mid century, little Timmy is sick and super pale and not gonna make it type pale. I’m surprised my natural foundation shade isn’t called Victorian ghost. I got the medium shade - sunny honey. I even hesitantly put more on than I normally do with my regular dark shade self tanner. Still it didn’t take much product for the results, two pumps per limb and my front torso, 3 pumps for my back and I used the left over product on the mitt for my face. So this bottle will last me awhile. Giiiiiirl. My hands didn’t come out funny or blotchy or anything. Mind you besides moisturizing almost daily my entire body, I also showered, exfoliated and moisturized my hands and elbows before applying the tanner and buffed these areas with a kabuki brush to blend. Flawless. The color is a grayish green - that’s because green is the opposite of orange on the color wheel and it cancels out orange tones by using the opposite color. It’s basic color theory. Hairdressers know what I’m saying. It serves as a guide to not miss spots and to cancel out orange. So don’t freak out, you’re not going to be green. It smelled GOOD. Never came across another self tanner that smelled this fruity. It developed quick - within two hours. I actually put it on in the morning and went on with my day no problems, not smelling or looking funny and was fully sun kissed by brunch. The photos are not photoshopped in any way. Just my 34 year old self with no filters and makeup that’s worn off after a day of work with no touch ups. I did this to hopefully help someone make an honest decision about trying this product. There’s an indoor photo and an outdoor photo (against the brick wall) for the results in indoor light and sunlight comparison. It’s funny bc I feel like I look more orange indoors and not in the sun. This also fades very nicely. If you’re rinsing off and washing your body daily and using something to put moisture in your skin even if it’s just a body wash, this will not fade spotty. Good fake tans come from a good product but also good skin practices. I can’t emphasize this enough. Sunny Honey worked like a dream. It wasn’t too dark and even with my dark hair I still looked tanned but not too much. I definitely recommend and will be making this my new primary self tanner. ... show more

I rarely write reviews, but this tanning foam deserves one because it is hands down the best self tanner I have ever tried — and I’ve tried at least 10 different brands over the years. First of all, the color is AMAZING. The green base makes such a huge difference because it completely cancels out those orange tones that so many self tanners leave behind. The final result looks deep, natural, bronzed, and genuinely believable. Every time I use it, it literally looks like I just spent a week in Hawaii. Another huge reason I love this product is the formula itself. It is NOT sticky or tacky like most tanning foams. I can apply it at night and comfortably sleep in it without feeling gross or glued to my sheets. Even better, my blankets and clothes don’t end up smelling like self tanner the next morning. After my first shower, the scent is basically completely gone, which is honestly rare for a tanning product. The fade is also really nice and even. I didn’t get weird patchiness or obvious dry spots, and the color developed beautifully overnight. One pro tip: use disposable plastic gloves to initially apply the foam to your body, then go back in with a tanning mitt or kabuki brush to blend and smooth everything out evenly. If you apply the foam directly onto the mitt first, it absorbs a lot of product and ends up wasting it. This method gives much better coverage and helps the bottle last longer. Overall, this product exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Natural color, no orange, no sticky feeling, minimal smell, gorgeous finish, and super easy to use. This is my favorite self tanner. Goes on smooth, never streaky, super even color and always looks natural. I’m even able to use it on my face with no breakouts or splotches. HOWEVER the last few bottles I’ve received have been sooo leaky, the pump breaks almost immediately, and I’ve had to transfer the product to a spray bottle or just pour it straight onto a mitt which is so messy and annoying. I am 65. I have tried dozens of self tanners in an effort to avoid the sun and still have a glow. THIS TANNER IS THE BEST. Coco & Eve is by far the most natural looking, easy to apply, best fragrance and lasts for days. Most importantly, for a mature woman with crepey, uneven skin spots, this tanner evens out my flaws and does not appear splotchy. It fades evenly and without patches and dark spots. I love this tanner! It goes on great, has minimal streaks, doesn't have that tanner sweet smell and best of all it looks so natural and not orange. But I cannot give it the well deserved 5-Stars. My first bottle, the foam dispenser stopped foaming. Happens, so I bought another bottle because the product is great. Was able to get two uses out of it and again the foam dispenser stopped foaming. Not sure what is happening with the dispenser. This tanner would be perfect if it packaging worked properly. ... show more

I have tried every single self tanner from high end to low end. I have my favorites and I am pretty impressed with this mousse. I have very fair skin tone and use an extender weekly. I do my main tan (this mousse) then I’ll add an extender lotion about 2-3 days later sometimes the day after to extend my tan until the next main tan. Pros: 1.extremely hydrating - i have extremely dry skin and I didn’t feel like I needed to put lotion on over it 2. The smell at first was a bit different -almost smelled of cat urine mixed with a citrus or floral scent. It faded quickly and I’m actually not mad at the smell. It’s sweet but also mixed with the tanner smell (I don’t mind tanner smell and I feel like you can’t really get rid of it) it’s masked pretty well 3. Tinted - I prefer tinted tanners. It just makes sense 4. Because it’s hydrating it’s less streaky. Even if you accidentally did streak it’d be a very blended streak 5. This lasts quite a while. I oil and lotion every night and I never saw it come off in patches and it dulls away very very nicely I’d say this will last you a 4 days to a full week with extensive hydration Cons: 1. it did pull orange on me. Now I knew as soon as I pulled it out of the bottle it would pull orange but it’s not the worse. You’ll typically be orange in florescent lighting (my pics are in natural lighting the day after) but this really wasn’t that bad (I’ve had worse) I did put a CC tanner over it after I showered and it helped a lot. 2. It did transfer a bit, not a lot! This is pretty good but it’s not 100% transfer proof. I sweat when I sleep so that was expected. Once it dries down you’ll be surprised on how well it stays 3. I got medium and I wish I got the dark (preference) it did wash off a lot. Next time I’ll get the dark. ... show more

So far the best self tanner I’ve ever tried. It actually smells good. Only a slight dihydroxyacetone smell the next morning. Goes on a nice golden brown. Dries quickly and not sticky. Did not transfer to my clothes or sheets. A little pricey, but worth the value!
