  • If it didnt fit my style garage door. I would replace the garage door to use this product.
This thing is sliiick and siiiiiick. Just make sure you order the right size and your garage door style is compatible. I prefer a stand up style rod rack for my rods 8ft and less.... but I had nowhere to put my long surface iron rods 9 and 10 ft long due to height issues in the garage. And those are some of my most expensive rods! This thing was PERFECT making sure they dont get messed up! ... show more

  • Great product and quick install
Installation was easy and took very little time. Some adjustments were needed for our fishing tackle but that’s to be expected.

  • Works well for what it is designed for
This one is hard to review. I received the rack, and was going to test it out and get four more. I'm sticking with the one I bought, maybe I'll buy one more. But, that is more that I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with them - the product itself is good. First, the customer service was great. I had some special garage doors (can't remember the name) that required an additional set of brackets. I took a few pictures, sent them to the seller, he replied back with extra pictures showing how to make it work and sent the brackets right away. They did require drilling into the garage door lips. What comes standard is a very simple install and I wish I could have done that, but that is my problem, not the seller's. But, it is a bit hard even with the smallest drill I could find to be able to get through both surfaces of the lips straight because the door was also insulated. The racks themselves are quite sturdy. Actually, they are kind of overkill when they say to have a max weight of 10 lbs. Again, I wasn't thinking when I was planning to get four or five of these to get my kayak oars, fishing poles, and smaller garden tools off the floor. Right now I've had one set installed for a few months now, and I don't know if I'd trust my door to hold up to any more. I've got a few fishing poles and one garden hoe and one broom and I can feel the difference opening and closing the garage door, and I can no longer leave the door halfway open - it is all up or all down. Maybe if I adjusted the springs it would work better. But forget about hanging up the pipe clamps and shovels and the like. Like I say, the product is well made, the customer service is great, the product description is accurate, I just missed the weight limit. I wonder what would have happened if I still used my garage door opener and hadn't noticed the change in effort required to lift it manually. It doesn't fit my use cases for the clutter I need to get off the floor, but it does what it says it does. I probably have some light weight stuff to add another rack at some point, but it is a little bit pricey for that use case. ... show more

  • Overall good, but you may need to customize the installation.
The media could not be loaded. This is a great idea and I could not wait to get it installed. My particular garage did not work exactly as I planned so I had to make some customizations. Not sure how they will work but we shall see. I did measure the garage properly for the width and I got the proper width. In my case my garage has some parts which extrude out farther than what other people have. So this means only of the garage holders would attach while the other halfs were just too far from the garage to make it work. In order to make it work, I drilled two holes into my garage panel and put some cable ties in the hole to give it extra support. Seems to work for now. ... show more

  • Splendid idea
Splendid idea, a bad execution. I installed product on the door, no problems. I tried to put my smallest fishing rod, could not fit. I was only able to get it to the third guide. Not sure if IM supposed to remove the guides, which would be counterproductive. I will have to figure out a way to make the holes wider. ... show more
