    • Very cool little CB
The only issue I had with this unit is the power supply they give you, it's not long enough. Went to the hardware store and bought a spool of 14 gauge wiring and the length problem was fixed. I hooked this radio straight to the battery and it works flawlessly. After I calibrated the radio (which took about 5 min to do) I took a drive on the highway and immediately started to pick up chatter. Conducted a radio check and got a reply in about 3 seconds that I was coming in loud and clear. This is a cool little CB and for the price I thought it was the best deal for the money. This unit also has a built in SWR meter so you don't need to buy one. The classic look and the fact this unit has a built in SWR meter was the selling point for me. Mic feels like cheap plastic and will probably be replaced down the line but it works for now. ... show more

After deciding that I will indeed stay with OTR trucking,I'm starting to invest in equipment. This CB was my first major purchase for the semi. And I love this radio. All the old timers swear on the Cobra Classic and I must admit that I am a little old fashioned as well. I had previously borrowed a Cobra from a friend,but I couldn't transmit. It could have been anything so I decided to buy my own. I love it!! Everyone says they can hear me crystal clear. I did a radio check yesterday,and one guy said it's working like a $2.00 you know what!! I didn't know if that was good or not, so I had him clarify!! That could be interpreted both ways!!! But seriously,it's a great buy. I bought a refurbished one,and it's just fine!!! I chose the NW (night watch) which looks great at night! Plus,it keeps you from turning the wrong knobs in the dark. ... show more

    • It does not have a black face as it shows
I thought I was getting a cobra 29 with a black face as the description said 29NW. That was the fifth star. The box shows a black face but the radio is chrome. It does have the backlights with the dimmer knob for night driving. I was a little disappointed about the black face. This was one reason I bought it. Although It Is a 29 classic with all the other features it describes. Great radio !!! You can't go wrong with COBRA 29 CLASSIC I matched it with a little wil antenna. Great Combo !!!! . ... show more

This was easy to setup. The manul that is provided tells you how to set it up. I love all of the different features. It's very clear to talk and hear.     • Classic Cobra Nightwatch.
This is a great CB, and it has all of the classic features. I opted not to go for the higher-end Cobras because they seemed to have a lot of problems. This CB is mostly basic but it fits my needs well.
