This Coavas window film looks great and DEFINITELY cuts down the heat from the sun--and holds in the heat when it's cold outside. I love that you still feel you can see some of the outdoors, you get a good amount of light in the room, but you're not living in a fishbowl for the neighbors. I can walk around in my undies and not frighten the neighbors. With window films, thickness or thinness is a big deal. This one hits the sweet spot: It isn't so thin that it keeps folding back on itself and sticking while you're working with it, and it isn't so thick that it looks like plastic junk on your window or smells like toxic vinyl when it heats up in the sun. It also separates more easily from the backing compared to others. I found this Coavas window film super-easy to hang, compared with all the others I've used. MY HANGING METHOD (same as everyone's until step 5): I have those pricey vinyl windows and don't want a razor knife near them for trimming... (1) Squirt water all over the clean window, (2) Place a guesstimated-sized piece of window file against the window, and (3) Smooth out most of the air bubbles with the rubber side of a plastic wallpaper smoother. Then (4) Slide the plastic edge of the smoother along each outside edge of the window at the same time you (5) Slide a ballpoint pen between the edge of the smoother and the edge of the window. You wind up with penlines on all four sides of the glass. They don't quite make it to the corners, because the smoother doesn't quite make it there. Then, (6) Lift each side of the window film away from the glass and cut CAREFULLY along the lines with good scissors (7) Spray more water and reapply the film, and move to the next side. (8) Literally pat yourself on the back to celebrate what a good job you did!

This window film lets soft lighting through while blocking most of the UV rays, which helps protect my furniture. Its installation is very simple thanks to the static adhesion: just water, scraping bubbles and that's it! In addition, it is reusable and can be removed without leaving. A modern, practical and much lighter solution than traditional curtains.

My office window looks right out on to Main Street in a small town. This privacy film has been a fantastic addition and helps protect the privacy of my clients while still allowing ample light to come in for my plants. My only complaint is that it smells heavily of PVC. I've had it up for one week and it's only now starting to dissipate with the use of my Dyson air purifier and time. The first day it was up, I had the worst headache working in there while the sun came in through the window and heated it up. But now that the smell is leaving, I'm really happy with it. I did feel like doing the whole window was too much, so I left a small section at the top to make it still feel like a window. It was easy to install, just make sure you have a sharp razor blade to trim the edges once its in the window.

This is a great film, and I tried a bunch because I’m crazy—but it’s super easy to install. It peels off easily and sticks to windows perfectly. It takes a good while to get all the bubbles out, but you can do it. Trust me. For the “rainbow” effect, it looks really cool, although it’s more aquamarine pink iridescent than rainbow, but I think that works out much better. AND it lets a good amount of light in. Privacy-wise, it's excellent—you can’t see anything from the outside. However, the “gold” is more like a bright, bright orange, especially in daylight. It can be a little jarring compared to the other options, but because you get so much light in with this much privacy, I think it’s worth it.

These adhere so easily, as long as you use plenty of💧. It took me longer to clean the windows and gather my supplies than it did to put them up. I bought this product because I wanted protection from the 🌞's UV rays, but I wanted to let some light in and brighten up the family room. I had paper blinds up for years because it would get so hot in here, but they darkened the room. These look super nice and so far it isn't hot. I did just put them up yesterday, though. Time will tell. I measured, then used my marker to draw a straight line on the smooth side of the film. The plastic that you peel off is on the smooth side, so any markings go in the trash. If you fold a corner towards the smooth side, you can find the plastic that you need to peel easier. It's there, even if you can't find it! They look really nice, while protecting my furniture from the UV rays 😎

So super skeptical at first but was willing to try anything! I mean static cling and cheap, I wasn't expecting what I got! I was not thrilled when I first unwrapped it and cut it to size either, I didn't like the feel of them, it felt like something to put in the bottom of the bath tub. HOWEVER, the application was super easy AND they look awesome (IMO). Also this particular window gets DIRECT sun light so it was always super bright (normally a good thing but not at nap time) and it made the room way warmer than everywhere else in the house. 10 minutes after installation it was darker (not dramatically but you could tell a difference) and SO MUCH COOLER!!! I just ordered 4 more for some of my other windows!
