First off, I have to say I’m very pleased with the design of this window film. I browsed for some time looking for just the right style so as not to “cheapen” our hopefully soon to be renovated basement bathroom. We’ve desperately needed a privacy solution for the window and hanging curtains or any other window treatment wasn’t going to work in there. I’d considered going the tinted/one way mirror route, but ultimately decided that was a definite No because come evening and when the light gets switched on it would offer quite the show to the neighbor. There was no worry of covering up the “scenery” out the window because there wasn’t much to see so a frosted type film was a better choice. I highly recommend watching a few how-to videos for install because if you don’t know what to expect or what tools to use it could be a challenge to get a professional finish. When I say tools I mean less than $10 pack of Exacto knife & smoothing tool kit found here on Amazon (similar to what you use for wallpaper application). Overall the written instructions were enough for me after having prepared myself for what to expect during install. Very easy to measure and cut. The hardest part was finding the corner to remove the plastic backing, but it wasn’t impossible—just have patience. ... show more

I’m not a buyer that leaves reviews but I had to do it for this, this privacy filler is so elegant and it gives the entry way of my house the touch I was looking, from outside its so reflective and you cannot see anything to the inside of the house, in the interior of the house is like a matte finish which I love! The installation was simple, recommendation use a lot of water trust me it will allow you to manipulate the position way easier. Its textured, so you cant use your typical contact paper tools. I used a hand towel/rag. Lots of water was not okay for me, per instructions. Getting the clear plastic off the back was suuuuch a pain! I took my expo knife and lightly cut along the back to peel it off. Overall it covered up the glass to my fireplace. If and when we decide to use it we can take this stuff on and reapply it (as I already did once). Not bad though ... show more

It was somewhat difficult to install. Tho I may have just not done it right. I'm no professional. It has some bubbles. But it does cast a pretty color into the room. I like the blues and greens during the day better than the orangy color it turns when the sun goes down.

Easy to install, one person can do it. I placed it at night and the following morning one of the owners was coming off. I re-applied it, then later that day the same thing happened. I ended up putting some scotch tape and it worked well.
