Description

If traditional bunk beds tend to lend an air of fun to sleeping, then this Stephan full/full bunk bed imparts an amusement park type of air. Like most bunk beds, it comes with built in ladders for easy up-and-down access to the top. What sets this one apart is that the ladders on are on the sides instead of the ends and are curved! Although it conveys fun and youthfulness, the top bunk has side rail slats to ensure safety. Adding to the mystique is the dark gunmetal finish.

After reading the reviews for this bunk bed, I decided to get it and I am not disappointed. It is nice and wide, strong, and looks great. A power tool will help to put this together more easily. I have a 10-inch mattress on the bottom and an 8-inch one on top.

    • Be prepared for assembly required.
I don't have a photo to attach to my review, but the final product looks like the photo on line. I bought 2 of these for our west Texas desert ranch house. Felt it a good choice since it's made of metal and won't easily decay. Word of warning though.. the assembly of the bunk beds is a bit of an ordeal. You must follow the instructions explicitly. You may be tempted to tighten each screw as you assemble the bed.. but you must resist that temptation! Let me repeat that... RESIST the TEMPTATION. As you begin the assembly process barely screw each screw so that it is just held together, It took two of us all day to put it together. And we're usually pretty good at that sort of thing. So take your time, keep your cool and it will all work out. We did also purchase the memory foam mattresses from Amazon as well and they fit and look wonderful. Once we finished the assembly, added the mattresses we each took our spot on one of the levels and was quite impressed with how sturdy and comfortable it was. While this bed frame is very sturdy, it takes a very long time to assemble. We had three people tackling the task and it still took three and a half hours. The hardware was sufficient which based on other reviews I’m guessing the manufactured updated the hardware as many complained about the quality. I’m only giving it two stars because it’s heavily scratched as the pieces aren’t wrapped in any protective foam. Which would’ve prevented all the scratches. I normally don't write reviews but these are so outstanding that I wanted to share my experience to help others. Purchased 2 of these in Spring for a cottage. Bedrooms are small and was trying to accommodate as many adults as possible. This bed is absolutely amazing. Super sleek design, built like a tank, easy to clean floor underneath, ladder has flat steps so climbing is easy & comfortably sleeps adults on upper bunk too, which isn't easy to find (400 lb weight limit on top), . Am always asked where did I get them as everyone is so impressed. I put a 6" memory foam mattress on top per manufacturers suggestion (also bought on Amazon) which allows for generous guard rail height & is very comfortable. Put a 10" mattress on bottom with 2" gel topper & works out beautifully. Assembly with 2 adults took a bit of time but not complicated. ... show more

    • Nice but very difficult to assemble.
We ordered this bed for our two boys because we thought that it would go great with the theme we were going for. When we received the shipment one of the boxes was severely damaged and some of the parts of the bed were scratched up. It was also really difficult to put together because some of the pieces did not like up and due to the fact that it is metal there was no way of adjusting them. After we struggled with it for a few hours we were finally able to assemble it and it looked great with the exception of the scratches. WOW! Took my husband and I about 3 hours to assemble - pretty good instructions, just take your time and do NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREWS until done! Very sturdy bed and the 2 foam mattresses I bought (one 6" and one 10") fit perfect! LOVE THIS BUNK!!!!! (the screws that came with it worked great, no problems) ... show more

The Stephan Full over Full Bunk Bed Gunmetal is a strudy product. It is a very stylish, large bed that looks better than the picture listed. I paid to have the bed assembled from Amazon. It took 2 to 3 hours to complete the assembly. The only negative review I have is on the shipment. The bed took 2 to 3 months to receive, but it was worth the wait. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a sturdy bed that can hold at least 400lbs and will not need the product immediately. ... show more
