I ordered this cordless automatic pool vacuum because I had a cordless pool stick vac but that requires you to get in the water with it and our pool is too cold for that right now! We live in TX and do not cover our pool for winter so we had a fair amount of leaves and things on the bottom of our pool. This vacuum got almost all of them up in the first use. It ran for just over two ours after a full charge and has done so the 5 times I have used it so far. It does take over 3 hours to charge but I just set it all out in parts to fry after I use it and rinse it out. Then I set it on charge overnight. The machine seems very well built and has a nice weight to it. After it is charged I just have to push one button and pick it up with the included j hook on the end of my pool brush pole and set it down on the bottom of the pool. It the runs along the bottom of the pool in some internal set pattern changing directions often. Our pool is a 24 x 16 oval pool and the only place we have an issue with it cleaning is around the bottom of the ladder which is permanently mounted and screwed into the deck. I have to sweep out anything near the ladder into the center of the pool for the vacuum to pick up. When it runs out of battery life it parks itself along a wall of the pool so it can be picked back up with the J hook on the pole again. I then remove the top by unsnapping a couple of hooks and empty the debris I to a trash can. I then rinse off the filter and the inside of the vacuum and leave the pieces separate to dry quicker and more thoroughly. Once dry I charge it up again. So easy to use and does a great job. Also the suction is not so strong that it climbs up the walls which makes it perfect for an above ground pool with liner as you are not supposed to run a vacuum up the side walls. ... show more

I got this robot cordless vacuum for my pool to use between my pool service cleanings. For the price and for what this unit does, I felt it was a good value for the money. It is a simple device to operate and working in my pool. Operation was super simple. Just charge it up, turn it on then lower it into the pool. The unit thought for a moment then started cleaning. It has no particular pattern for cleaning the pool. It just goes randomly back and forth cleaning the pool bottom. This unit says that it works only in flat bottom pools, bit my pool is slanted from 3' to 6' in depth and it worked with no problems. The slope did not pose a problem for me. My pool also has rounded bottom edges which posed no problems. It just reversed itself and continued on. The pool pole attachment worked great for placing it the unit into the pool and afterward pulling it out of the pool after cleaning. To clean the unit when it is done, there are four edge snaps hold the upper and lowers half's together. Un-snap, separate the half's and then remover the inner screen filter to rinse off and rinse the lower holding pan. That it. Recharge and reuse. My cover is getting older and shedding a little bit and the cover particles go to the bottom of my pool. This vacuum cleaned it up without any problems. BOTTOM-LINE: No this is not a $1500 high end pool floor cleaner but it does do a very good job in vacuuming up small debris laying on the bottom of the pool. I don't have a bunch of trees around with leafs falling into into my pool so I can't comment on its ability to vacuum up leaves. OVERALL I RECOMMEND THIS CLEANER. ... show more

This is meant for flat pools only. I didn't read that closely enough when I ordered it. Other than that, it's well made and cleans the flat parts of the pool well. It will not crawl, so it isn't really useful for our pool set up as we have stairs.

When I'm out in the pool I want to spend as much time relaxing as possible. This lil bot helps me get the most out of my pool time. It does a great job clearing out all the little bits that get blown/ tracked in and requires almost no attention once you let it get to work. My pool isn't huge so the battery life is more than enough for my needs and it charges pretty quick. It's lightweight but feels well built. Cleaning it out takes a lot less time than I would spend cleaning the pool with the manual pool vac. Glad to have it. ... show more
