  • CNC Vise Worktable
I usually deal with little wood blocks while carving ornamental patterns or engraving letters, and before purchasing this vise, the material had a tendency to move somewhat whenever the toolpath changed direction. This vice provides me with the ability to stop this tendency. I quickly noted how the workpiece remained solidly in place during the whole of the carving pass after I had installed this vise and clamped my first piece down. I was able to get smoother lines in my drawings as a result of this, and I did not have to do any minor manual adjustments after them. It gave the impression that the whole process was more predictable and simplified the process of control. A further job that included a tiny aluminum plate was one in which the clamping range proved to be of great assistance. Because it has a capacity of up to 136 millimeters, I did not have to make any adjustments or place the item in an odd manner in order to make it fit. In spite of deeper passes, in which the bit had to remove a little bit more material than normal, the plate remained stable after it had been tightened. It was easier for me to avoid the tiny alignment errors that I used to have since the vise maintained the plate in a concentrated and even position from beginning to end. This resulted in a far more streamlined procedure, which was convenient for someone like myself who is concerned about the final fit and uniformity of each item. ... show more

  • Great value for money, would buy again
**Update** I still love this vise, but I did provide feedback to the manufacturer about the length of the provided screws being a bit short. They said they will begin shipping a pair of longer screws with the vise for others who are affixing the vise the way I am. ********** This vise is excellent, especially for the price. Do not expect a machinist vise with zero upward movement when you clamp something in it, but it is perfect for my use case and very simple to use. In addition to other things, I manufacture custom challenge coins. In addition to machining aluminum coins, I also machine graphite blocks that I use as molds for one or both sides of the coins. Fixing the coins and graphite blocks to the spoilboard is always challenging, but this vise makes both very easy. The vise is low-profile, so for my use case I'm not losing any significant Z height that matters. The jaws allow you to clamp with the full jaw or with a smaller shelf, which is ideal for stock that is thinner than the height of the jaws. The upward deflection on the jaw is there, but again, for my use case simply applying downward force while clamping keeps the deflection at less than a 5 thousandths in my case. The vise affixes to your CNC either using T-slots or just using bolts through the base of the vise. There are two slots running through the center of the vise for fixing the vise in place. The only real downside is that the provided metric screws are too short for any of my applications, but I have plenty of bolts on-hand. I would definitely buy this again. ... show more

  • Good Fit
Great for using with my Snapmaker Artisan! As it is advertised (for desktop CNC machines), I think this is a great product and plenty suitable for that use case. If you're looking for something for more of an industrial setting, you probably want to keep looking. It feels quite sturdy and secures well (though it doesn't key-in in any way, so again mainly for smaller/"desktop" CNCs). The annodization is smooth and attractive. Very low profile. I want to gripe a little at the screws - the adjustment screws are different sizes, so you need to track two Allen keys (though it does come with both) in order to fully adjust it. Additionally, a ball-end Allen key would have been much better for the lateral adjustment screw. Both workable either way, but a little annoying. First reaction is that it feels a little pricey for what it is, but I suppose hunks of metal usually are...! In actuality, it does seem to be competitively priced. ... show more

  • TORQUE IT GOOD
This thing, i was a little cautious of, but boy does it hold stuff when i need it to. Full disclosure, you need to equally load it with something to grip on both edges or it'll twist around the center screw and may break. But you can feel the metal stretching as you torque it down. That's going nowhere fast ... show more

  • Hobby vise
I got this vise as a fixture for my Intellitek CNC mill. This seems to be made from an aluminum alloy. It isn't hardened steel and not precision ground. Maybe acceptable for prototyping but not finished work? I'll edit the review once I put it to the test, but you might do better looking elsewhere for serious work. May be good as a hobby vise. ... show more

  • Solid, precise vise for desktop CNC work
I picked this up to use with my Two Trees CNC machine and it has been a great addition to the setup. The size is ideal for a desktop CNC, giving you a stable, flat work surface without taking up too much usable bed area. The aluminum construction feels precise and well machined, with no flex or play once it’s mounted and tightened down. What really stands out is the versatility. The wide clamping range makes it easy to hold everything from small engraving blanks to wider stock, and it works equally well for wood, plastics, and light aluminum. I’ve used it for engraving, light milling, drilling operations, and even quick test cuts, and it performs consistently across all of them. The slot design also gives you flexibility in how and where you mount it, whether that’s directly to a spoilboard, a T-slot table, or repositioning it for different job layouts. Once clamped, the workpiece stays put with no shifting during cuts, which is exactly what you want for repeatable, accurate results. Overall, this is a very capable and versatile vise for desktop CNC machines. It’s a simple, well-built tool that expands what you can comfortably and confidently do on a smaller CNC. ... show more
