I bought this tent for a 10 night canoe trek in the Boundary Waters area of Minnesota. The tent worked great. It was easy to set up and take down every day and fit back nicely in its storage bag. The bag was compact but still had room for a plastic sheet that I used as a tent base. The total weight was less than 4 lbs which was important during our portages. The tent remained dry through several heavy rain storms. I am 5’8” and I found the size just about right for a one person tent. I still had room to store some gear and I had enough space to sit up and change clothes. I don’t think the tent would be suitable for anyone over 6’. Overall I am very pleased with this tent and consider it a great value. I expect to get a lot more use out of it. I saw another reviewer was puzzled about the extra short piece of tube. That tube is for an emergency joint repair in case one of the tent pole joints failed, hopefully you will never need it. ... show more

    • Good value for the money, but be careful about the size

I bought this tent for the rare situations when I want the smallest enclosed tent possible. Even though a 2-person tent doesn't take up much more space in a pack than a 1-person tent, sometimes you just need to save every cubic inch. For those cases, this tent is just fine. The good: * It's small. Inside the included compression sack, it's about the size of a loaf of sliced bread — maybe a shade larger. It's also very light. * It's dead simple to put together. Without even reading the instructions, it took me maybe two and a half minutes to set up. I'm not bragging, there's just not much to figure out here. * Taped seams: I haven't tried it in the rain, but getting taped seams at this price is very nice. * Comes with a hanging organizer, which you will certainly need, because there's no room to store anything in here (for example, laying your eyeglass on the ground next to you would be a terrible idea in this very cramped tent). The bad: * I'm 5'10, 250 lbs, and if I lay down in it with my arms at my sides, my elbows touch the sides of the tent. In a sleeping bag, I'm pretty much squeezed in like a sardine. I know, I know: I bought a small tent, that's the whole point. But if it were like... 10% larger, I think it'd be just about perfect. * It does not feel especially durable. Time will tell on this, but I suppose you get what you pay for. * Because of the size, you can pretty much only sit up in one spot, right in the middle of the tent. Again, that's what you get with a small tent, but the center of the tent is where the organizer hangs, so if you're storing anything, you can't even sit up without bumping into it. * I'd love to have another organizer pocket somewhere in the tent, because, as mentioned, you can't store anything on the ground.     • Good One Person Tent But Not For Tall Folks

Good quality, light weight and easy set up. I would not recommend for below 50 degree weather. It does stay warm and the vent flaps are a nice feature when the rain fly is on. Also, it's not made for very tall people. It may be a bit uncomfortable to folks taller than 5'10 or so. (i'm 5'7).

Pros 1) if you used a single person tent before it follows that standard design. 2) lightweight 3) nice bag for transporting 4) zipper quality appears solid 5) easy to takedown and to setup. 6) no issues with some rain (not sure about a storm) 7) material quality is pretty good 8) adequate room for the size. Cons 1) they shipped me the wrong rain fly (outer cover) so I discovered this in the middle of nowhere however I was able to make it work. However I decided to email them on return and they had a quick turn around to sending me the correct rain fly. So they resolved this con.
