  • Just enough room, packs down small, holds in heat
Color: Orange
After using a bivouac type one-man tent, this tent has just enough height to sit up in which is great for setting up just before laying down for the night, or first thing in the morning before emerging from a temporary cave to face the day. There is just enough width for my air mattress, and water bottle and other small stuff on one side. There is also enough room at the head for extras like hat, gloves, sweater caps, etc. I used this tent for bike packing. The poles fold up shorter than my biv one-man tent. So the tent fits better on my rear rack… it sits fully on the rack without hanging over. The overall narrow width makes it easy to put up the tent in the smallest of spaces which opens up more potential placements at camp sites. The ground tarped vestibule is decent sized to keep shoes, jackets, helmet, pannier dry on one half while maintaining an area to get out and stand up. I pack a 5-ft x 8-ft tarp… when folded in half fits pretty well in the covered vestibule area. Great to keep your feet clean and thus the tent, sleeping bag too. The first night I slept in it was warm, so with the tent fully zipped up I was too warm. The next night I slept with the fly unzipped and tied back as shown in the picture. It vented very well. When the temperatures drops, it will be nice to retain more heat zipped up. The fabric is also heavier than some similar tents, which likely adds to the heat retention (and durability). The heavier material is reflected in the weight. At 4-lbs, it’s no lightweight, but is reasonable for the durable fabric. Better IMO than super light, thin fabric. This really is a 3-4 season tent… will be great in the Pacific Northwest where it gets cold, but not frigid as long as I’m below the snow line. The tension straps work super slick. I attach the tie downs to the fly and leave them there, so I just put the loop around the stake, tension the line by sliding the plastic clip towards to tent and lock the cord into the clip. Done. When it comes time to pack up, I just pull the cord down. It unlocks, de tensions and that’s it. There storage pockets on the side and the one overhead is great to put a watch in, glasses, lights, phone, cyclo computer, charger, etc. All in all, it checks the boxes for what I need. ☑️ durable and warm ☑️ Packs down small ☑️ reasonably light weight ☑️ big enough, with minimal footprint area ☑️ perfect sized covered vestibule area ☑️ Inexpensive ( about 40% less than another tent I was considering which was a little lighter (less durable and true 3-season tent) I will have to see how it handles the rain. I do have a footprint for it from a different manufacturer. Fits perfectly and should protect against wet ground. So as long as the fly sheds water well, it should be cozy and dry. I’ll problem seal the seams and spray the fly. ... show more

  • Best Value 1 Person Tent
Color: Orange
I backpack regularly and was in need of a new 1-person tent. I took a flyer on this tent and came away very impressed. Tent is light and packs down small. Super easy to set up. Size is what you would (should?) expect from a 1-person tent (i.e. it is narrow with not lots of space for gear), with room to store your pack under the rain fly. I took it out this past weekend. We had significant rain the first night and heavy wind both nights. Not a drop of water inside the tent and held up well to the wind. With the low price, you cannot beat this tent. ... show more

  • Worked great for me
Color: Orange
Took this tent on a one night backpack. It was easy to set up. I don't know about the water resistance because it wasn't going to rain (I live in AZ). I didn't even take the rain fly with me because I didn't want the weight. I'm 6'1" and it was just long enough for me. Didn't have stress points with the zipper like my more expensive REI tent. The little cargo pocket needs to go over your legs so you don't hit it sitting up. The only thing I would change is the clips that hold the tent on the poles. They are hard to unclip when your hands are cold. Hooks might be better. ... show more

  • Designed by someone who knows what they're doing!
Color: Green
I've used it over a dozen times now and still absolutely love it! It's very well thought out in design, ease of setup and take down. I'm 6'3" and have no issues with the size inside, even keep my pack inside. One of the features I wasn't sure about was the extra flap/room (however you want to put it) over the door but it's perfect! Can sit upright in the tent with it zipped closed, take off my boots OUTSIDE the tent, leave them there and they are still bone dry in the morning. Last time out we had 2.5" of rain in just over 3 hours, I slept great and was completely dry when I got up. Not even damp gear. I also appreciate the vents on the top of the rain cap. Closed keeps the heat in on cold nights, open let's the humidity out on warm summer trips. All around I have tried many and this is my final one person tent. I hope they still make them when I wear this one out someday lol 100% recommend!!! ... show more

  • Great Tent At A Great Price
Color: Orange
I have zero negative things to say about this tent. I was a little skeptical because the price almost seems too good to be true. It is extremely easy to set up and very lightweight. A pretty good storm ended up coming in the night during my backpacking trip with heavy winds and heavy rain, I stayed completely dry and had zero issues with stability from the wind. I am about 5’8 and still had enough room to put my backpack by my feet. I like how there’s several storage pouches around the inside of the tent. Overall, I would definitely recommend it, even for people who will be using this to camp for the first time. ... show more

  • Great tent
Color: Orange
I purchased this tent for a backpacking trip to Havasupai. It Is a good quality tent, and lightweight. I am 5'8" and it fit me just right. I have a blow up pad and sleeping bag inside perfectly. It is easy to set up and take down. I slept with the rainfly off. The rainfly actually keeps it quite insulated on the inside. It also has 4 pockets in each corner, and one you can attach to the mesh. That was definitely a positive. ... show more
