I had no trouble assembling this stand. The labeling of the individual pieces was great. I have this next to my work desk. I use the top shelf to hold a small TV, the middle shelf for my printer, and the bottom shelf for printer paper and notebooks.

As a shelf, it’s nice. I don’t have any complaint. A few things I was not happy about: 1) Opening the package, I found all the parts were dusty and some parts were kinda rusty. Maybe the dust is MDF fiber? Anyways I gotta wipe all parts. 2) One of the part 8 had 2 stickers on it. It seemed one was peeled half off and then a new one was added while being manufactured. The stickers on metal parts are easy to take off so why wasn’t the first one removed? It felt a sloppy job. 3) Part 3 (the bottom shelf) had the sticker on the top side. I removed it but it left some trace. I’d expect this kind of stickers would be tucked on less visible side when assembled. 4) It maybe structurally fine, but the top of the metal supports where it is bent has a noticeable gap. 5) I felt there was too much information in one step in the instruction. Almost all the parts are supposed to be assembled in one step without any verbal instruction. These are not critical issues for the shelf itself but I reduced one star. ... show more

This a great little bookshelf, and works well in a small space. I was disappointed that two of the shelves and one other piece had some scuffs that didn't rub off, but they are not hugely noticeable. However, it was fairly simple to put together, and looks great! Great little bookshelf.

We built an outdoor shed and it’s just a big rectangle of empty space. I need all sorts of shelving sizes to best utilize the space and this one will be perfect for smaller gardening items! It might be perfect to set ON the work table and create some vertical storage space. • It took about 20 minutes to assemble and everything aligned and screwed in easily. A couple wouldnt line up, but that's because I had everything too tight. I'd recommend 'finger-tight' until it's completely assembled and then go back and wrench them tight. • Sturdy metal legs, so, should handle any heavy items placed on it. • The shelves and apron pieces are a very hard-pressed type of wood composite. Smooth and painted black. They’re very solid and heavy, like MDF, but without the shiny finish. They are not plywood. • It’s modern and stylish and might be too nice for a shed! It could end up in the house! • For indoor use, the bottom of each leg has a plastic plug to prevent scratches on the floor. I’m impressed that this is the MOST organized set of pieces I’ve ever put together. Every shelf piece had a number sticker on it. Every bag of hardware had a letter on it. Love that they even divided up the hardware into separate bags for separate uses! My only complaint is that all the screws are allen. Yes, they give you a teeny little allen wrench. But those giant wood screws that go into the wood are long and that would have taking a ton of time and wrenching. Thankfully, I had an allen screwdriver bit in my battery-powered drill kit! Zip zip… they’re in! 17.5”wide x 30.625” tall x 11.625” deep Note: in my photos, you can see that I chose not to utilize the metal, vertical dividers on the bottom shelf. I just wanted a plain shelf. No do-dads required. I flipped that shelf over so there wouldn’t be any holes showing. ... show more

I use this bookshelf in my boutique to display jewelry. It happens to fit perfectly between two sets of closet doors in the room. It is very sturdy (even without the /-pattern brackets) and looks quite professional. It was simple to put this bookshelf together as the instructions are quite clear. I did not want to use the U-shape dividers at the bottom; fortunately we were able to flip the bottom board over and still successfully assemble it. This is a nice little end table/book shelf for the price point. It has the standard off brand instructions that's all pictures and no words. It's fairly easy to follow though.
