I am not in the construction industry. I am just a constant gardener and backyard landscape crazy guy. I needed a pair of boots for working in the back yard doing all kinds of tasks. I was chopping down trees, loading and moving a wheel barrow loaded with plants and dirt and digging in the dirt with a shovel. These boots are up to the task and then some. These boots are comfortable and have lots of space in the toe box. They look better in real life than the pictures. They got dirty and I rinsed them off and wore them to the supermarket to pick up groceries and run other errands. The price is right for a steel toe that you can beat up. I will most likely buy another pair before these wear out.

The day after I received them, I stepped in 2" of water. The boots are 6" high...both feet were soaked. It took 3 days for the lining to dry out. They should not list them as waterproof. Other than that, very nice boot, fits well, very sturdy.
