  • Happy, Happy! Cut my own hair and it turned out well!
Second time cutting my own hair because of quarantine. First time was a disaster with scissors and a gadget comb that I got on amazon. Very weird look with hair sticking out oddly! Finally got my new Wahl clippers today. This Clipquik attachment worked really well. Of course, it's not as good as my hairdresser, but good enough to not look weird. I got the new clippers and attached this thing and just buzzed away. Cut blindly in the back. It's two inches all over my head and looks decent, even the back. My hair's kind of fine, so it took a long time. I just kept going over it until no more hair could be cut. I cut my hair dry, and waited a few days after washing it so it wouldn't be so difficult to stay in the clipper guide comb. I found that on my first attempt with squeaky clean wet hair then clean dry hair. I want to cut the very bottom of the back shorter and finally found a #12 attachment that will arrive in late June. I ordered a #10 by miaco today, so may try that sooner, just cut the very bottom of the back a little shorter. The #8 that came with the clippers is probably too short. I wish they made a #14, but I couldn't find one. I'd like to taper it without lines using the #14 which doesn't exist. This #16 is a real blessing, though. Plus on Zoom, no one sees the back of my head anyway. I'm good to go for a number of haircuts and these things will pay for themselves quickly. I'm going to spring for a cape, which will make things a bit neater! ... show more

  • Worked even better than expected, great product
Fit very securely to my Wahl clippers and felt more solid than I would expect for such a long piece of plastic. It was firm enough to not flex, and did a great job emulating a scissor cut on the top of my head, while I faded the sides from a 2 to a 3 to a 4. Ended up with a nice undercut with the perfect length for warmer spring and summer weather. Great product, would recommend to anyone. ... show more

  • NOT bad
I've been cutting my hair since I was like 17. I used to do a buzz cut so that was nice and easy. Then for some odd reason when I hit my late 20s and into my 30s, I decided the buzz cut wasn't the best look, so... I started with like a 1.5in I think and while it was nice and allowed me to style it in my usual Lego-Guy hair style that I like, it was still a little too short and was still hard to style. THEN I found these. Pros: -Fits the clippers it says it does. -Quality seems on par with Wahl's offerings. Cons: -May not be their fault, but the combs tend to spread out more and you miss a lot of hairs, so you have to make a lot of extra passes. Conclusion: If you're an at-home trimmer like me, I recommend these. 2 inches seems to give you more than enough play for a basic and adult styling and even extra room for more fun spiking if that's your thing, not mine. And makes it so you can cut it yourself, or if you have a partner, this will make the job super easy and saves you hair trips. Now for me it was never more than $30 but I would have to go every 2-3 weeks at their convenience. NOW... hop in the shower since it's nice and big, cut my hair, remove the clippers so I don't electrocute myself and take a quick shower to remove the hairs. As for clean-up now that the hairs are much longer, I can sweep them up in a nice pile with my hands even and just throw the clump out. And whatever doesn't go in my hands easily without an issue goes down the drain. ... show more

  • Great product for a quick and easy pixie cut!
I was looking for an easy way to get a pixie cut at home. This was my first time ever cutting my hair this short, but I don't really have a lot of options because of the coronavirus to go out and get my hair cut. I didn't exactly want a buzz cut, but I don't trust myself with scissors. This guard was the perfect length for me and what kind of pixie I wanted! It cut my hair well, attached nicely to my Wahl clippers, and got the job done. My only worry when purchasing this product was what my hair was going to look like - there are not a lot of resources online of what the 2 inch guard looks like as a haircut - I only found one youtube video, and it was a guy (still helpful, though!). I wanted to write a review to show others what the 2 inch guard can do and how it can give a great short pixie cut. ... show more

  • I wanted it to work, but... it didn’t
I was hopeful in buying this because I wanted it to work, but it really didn’t. I tried using this guard on the longer part of my hair to trim it down. It was too difficult to get an even cut in the more difficult spots, like the crown of my head. The quality is so-so - I was surprised by how flimsy it seemed and how thin the plastic was that I could easily move the tines on the guard. I wonder if this is perhaps why it was more difficult for me to get an even cut. It did seem to come earlier than the projected date on the order page, though, which was a nice surprise! ... show more
