I purchased this mascara for weekend wear, when I want darker lashes that look natural. The color really brightens my eyes and my lashes looked more full and separated. It didn't smudge, but it will come off if you tear up. Hence the 4 stars.

Yes, it is not waterproof (I wear a different mascara on the days I suspect I will need that feature), but to me that is a selling point.
