Description

Mount the ClimateSafe 300W heater and fan to the wall of your animal shelter for gentle heating to keep animals safe and comfortable in cold climates. Installation couldn't be easier, with simple wall mount installation template and no venting required. The 300W heater features an internal fan to safely distribute heat and ensure that the box will never overheat. The heater also features an abrasion-resistant cord, making it perfect for heating dog houses, cat houses, rabbit houses, chicken coops and more. The heater has an adjustable thermostat to find the perfect amount of heat to make pets comfortable. The heater turns off when an upper boundary temperature is reached, but the fan stays on. When temperature drops below lower boundary temperature, The heater comes back on.

If I could give this product 10 stars I would! Like the spring loaded control mechanism which stays shut, under spring pressure, so my very curious dog doesn't eat the controls! This heater is a gem. Works better than expected and that's saying something because I had high expectations on the heater for my dog house. I pair this heater with a Govee remote read thermometer that I set to send me an alert if Temp reaches the low threshold. The Low, Medium and High settings on the heater work great and thus far I've only had to operate on L and M to keep comfortable temps for my dog. One last thing, it's getting powered via smart plug so I can turn off power remotely if needed. ***December 2024 Update, Heater still running great! 39 degrees outside this morning but 60 degrees inside heated doghouse which isn't insulated that well (has plastic "flaps" for a door) but this heater keeps my thin-furred dog toasty. ... show more

    • Excellent choice for medium to large dog houses
I really appreciate that this heater keeps my dogs comfortable even in single digit temperatures, but it's a low enough wattage that I don't worry about tripping the circuit breaker. And it is well armored - no worries about chewing damage or electrocution danger - this is an excellent pet heater.

    • Fan runs continuously
Anyone thinking of buying this heater just know that the fan will run continuously and must be shut off manually. The heater will not operate without the fan running. The spring loaded lid covering the controls is a bit difficult to open especially if you have to crawl into the dog house to turn it off. The only other options are to unplug it or wire it to an external switch which is what we did. I'm not too happy with that feature. ... show more

I have two outside dogs in Tennessee and the winters are not bad but can get a few cold snaps. I built two insulated dog houses and this heater heats them enough for the dogs to be comfortable in cold nights. The fan and thermostat really help regulate the temperature, not too hot, not to cold.

    • not recommend....Stopped working
I installed this heater in my dog house. It seemed to work fine for the first winter. I live in eastern Washington and our winter was very mild in the Valley area. I am at 800ft elevation so we do not get a lot of snow or extreme cold weather. Now it does not heat at all. It only blows cold air. I tried unplugging it, vacuuming it just to be sure is was not clogged with dust. It has plenty of space behind it for it to work. I would not recommend this item as a purchase. ... show more

I have 2 small 15-20lb dogs that unfortunately must stay in their outdoor kennel during my long hours at work. Now that the cold Tennessee chill is starting to make it's way through I started searching for ways to keep them comfy while I work overnight. This heater was actually $30 cheaper than the ones with fast prime delivery but came to my door just as fast. Maybe even quicker so I was very impressed. Unit seems very sturdy and well made. I bolted it up and wrapped their doghouse in a used comforter making sure to cut a slit in the entryway for a pet door and this heater seems to keep the inside temp just right. Not too hot. According to the manual 60° give or take on the lowest setting. I think it's super important to insulate your doghouse after installing this to help retain heat or it'll run continuously. I pretty much have central heat in the winter for my beloved fur babies and feel much better knowing their comfy even in the coldest of weather. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.     • A lot of energy for little heat.
Works ok. Not sure it's worth the investment, honestly. I added this to a very well insulated dog house for a dog I had to rescue. It was probably better than nothing. They need to get cleaned at least once a year. Take it apart and clean it thoroughly !

I had my doubts at first, but it works great in my 4x6 dog house. very economical to run and was easy to install. It would work well in a bigger dog house too.
