My wife and I were flying to another State and then renting a car and spending several days in two National Parks and a few lakes. We wanted to be able to keep fruit and drinks and snacks cold while we were in remote areas for most of the day. I saw this on Amazon and it got good reviews so thought it would be a good option to fold up, carry in my luggage, and then use when we got to our destination. It worked great. I would put a full bag of ice in it and lots of drinks and snacks and fruit and put it in the car. The ice generally lasted about 24 hours and it was pretty warm outside and in the car. It was convenient, fairly well made, leakproof, and now we have one for future trips. It’s not super insulated, but a good compromise to fold up compact and then use as a cooler. ... show more

    • Decent Little Cooler

I've only used this twice, so I can't give it five stars yet. If I use it a bunch more times and it holds up, I'll try to give it that last star. As it is, I haven't had an issue with this cooler. I wanted something to fit on the seat of a stroller so I could push it around instead of carrying it. This fit perfectly, and while I still used a bungee cord to ensure it didn't fall out of the seat (forwards), I don't know if it would have been totally necessary. For my use, testing it for the first time, I put two bags of ice in it that I bought from a grocery store. Not sure how much ice that was, but the ice with a soda can, a bottled water, and five big thermoses almost filled the cooler. I still had room for some snacks and extra space, but that's all I needed for the day. When I arrived at the ocean, I left the cooler in the back of my black SUV, directly in the sun. I was away from the vehicle for a little over three and a half hours when I came back to grab the cooler and walk to a pizza place on the boardwalk. That took about another twenty minutes. When I opened the cooler, more than half of the ice was still ice and there wasn't much melted. The drinks were still cold and everything was fine. The zippered lid was perfect for leaving the cooler in the stroller and just opening it up to take stuff out. A few hours later of the cooler in the sun pushed around in the stroller and there was still ice in it. There was a lot of melted ice at that point, but I can't fault the cooler for that. It was about 86 degrees for hours and no shade. By the time I left, I poured the water out, but there was still some ice. Maybe about a quarter of the original amount left. All in all, I was satisfied with how long it kept everything cool. Getting it to pop out from its flattened form is easy, and it's easy to "break back down." The handles are nice and have a velcro layer to keep them together, and there's a stretch band to keep it flat when "closed." I didn't use the two side pockets, but they look decent enough for some small things. Importantly, unlike my last cooler, while the ice was melting, it didn't leak. When I poured the water out, that was the first time any escaped. My last cooler would have had a giant puddle under it when the ice melted. As for how much it could hold, I was actually surprised what I could fit. It doesn't seem very big, but it's kind of tall, at least for my stuff. I have a couple of tall thermoses, like the Camelbak Chute found here <a href="https://smile.amazon.com/CamelBak-Chute-Vacuum-Insulated-40oz/dp/B076ZWNHCS/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=insulated%2Bthermos%2Bcamelbak%2Bchute&qid=1566165330&s=gateway&sr=8-1&th=1">Thermos</a>. It fit in the cooler without pushing up on the lid, and so did the rest. I had more room than I needed, so next time I'll get more ice. All in all, a decent cooler so far. ... show more

This oversized cooler bag is perfect for traveling and fits a lot. My husband and I were able to fit in drinks and food for our camping trip. Handle is comfortable to carry even when it's a bit heavy. Highly recommend!

This collapsible cooler is great! I purchased it in Feb 2017 to primarily use for travel. So far, it has traveled with us on many trips, including car trips & several times overseas, to Greece, Spain & Portugal. It will be going with us again at least a couple times in early & mid 2019, including to London & Santorini island (back to Greece). My husband likes to ice beer in the hotel room, so this is great for that purpose & if you're staying where you don't have a fridge in the room, it works good for storing bottled water & any perishable foods, etc. It is just the right size. We always sit it in the hotel room bathtub so the floor doesn't get wet because the bottom will get wet after a while as ice melts. So, beware it is not leak proof. I don't know of a soft sided cooler is. We empty it & hang it to dry the last night, then fold it back up & pack it in the morning. It is also great for car trips. If we carry it with us in a rental car, we just put plastic or something underneath to protect the carpet, etc. Still, perfect for what we need it for & fits in our luggage just fine. ... show more

Bought this cooler for a 5 hour car trip. Food was put in the cooler cold. At the end of the trip, all of the ice was melted. Food was cool enough not to be spoiled, but I expected better.
