This was purchased for a chicken run to provide some protection from snow and below zero winds. I recently purchased a similar clear tarp that has reinforcement threads running throughout the tarp and is a bit more opaque than clear so I figured I'd try this style. This tarp being much more clear allows the chickens to see through it to the other side of the enclosure. That being said I think this clear tarp might not hold up as well or as long as the kind with the threads. The plan is to remove this one in the spring and re attach next winter. I do like that it allows you to see through it ,while the other style does not. So depending on your purpose this style might prove useful. It's just not super thick. I also would not suggest adding your own grommets due to the thinner plastic.

...I'd love larger sizes available for less whopping amounts of money, but, tariffs... X-P Not bad quality for the thickness and structure (less sturdy than an opaque, "woven" plastic tarp, but hey, it's transparent! :D); was able to repair a tear with mere clear packing tape. :)

Do not bother to order this tarp. It is very poorly made. The binding was not attached to the plastic tarp on one side. There was a missing grommet on the other side. I have baggies that are thicker than this supposed tarp. The plastic is not sturdy enough to support being stitched to the binding. I was very disappointed in the quality!

I purchased this to cover my chicken coop/run to keep snow and rain out. While I do believe it will serve its purpose for me this winter, I’m not sure about longevity. The grommets and lining around the grommets are not as strong as I’d hoped. The weight of the tarp is decent, not too thick or thin. Clarity is also decent. It’s definitely see through but it’s not crystal clear. I purchased the 12’x16’. I didn’t measure it but it seems to be pretty close to accurate. This was the cheapest one I could find in this size, so I can’t complain too much. Others in this size were easily 2x more than what I paid.
