I didn't realize just how far off the ground this frame really is until I put this together. We have a Tempur-pedic set and once it was all together with the mattress and box frames, it was insanely too high. We just laughed. I wanted to make this frame work because we want to the under the bed storage for suitcases and things and we have fluffy carpet. So after reading the warranty instructions on their website and some additional information on this frame, we removed the box frames. We love this frame. It is super sturdy and doesn't move or squeak like our old frame. It didn't take too long to assemble and was easy, but I did get some of the screws mixed up and had to redo some of them. The wood slats appear cheap and that was worrisome during assembly. I couldn't figure out how those that could visibly be seen as bending with force, could hold the 3000lbs it claims, but there are a lot of them, so together in the structure they are holding up very well. I had one slat that was chipped, so I put that at the foot of the bed as that will be the area will the least weight/pressure. caution: the wood slats are not finished (fine) but could easily cause splinters when handled wrongly. We've been using it for about 5 weeks now. I put it together the minute it arrived. We have the King size and I really like it thus far.

Our old frame was just a standard frame with box springs. Given it had minimal supports the mattress tended to sag in the middle causing back issues. I decided it was time to try something different and decided to get this as it appeared well built. Came well packaged with all of the required parts. Fairly easy to install and everything lined up. The only issue I had was that I planned to attach our headboard and footboard using the slots in the end legs but this frame was a little narrow for that. However, I was able to attach an overlap board to our headboard and footboard legs so I could install them. It would also be fairly easy to get some metal brackets to do the same. The headboard and footboard are now firmly attached and do not rock or move at all like they used to with the standard frame. Given all the frame support and cross slats the mattress now lies perfectly flat and is well supported. This has greatly reduced my back issues. I would definitely recommend to others looking for a sturdy bed frame.

I ordered this king-size platform bed frame to replace my old king-size frame. This new frame was easy to assemble. The bed is sturdy, and the wooden plats make a secure frame. I like the way it looks and its low profile height. I was able to use this bed frame without a box spring mattress. It is a comfortable bed for me now with just one mattress. I'm 4'11" and our mattress is 14" so between this 18" frame and the mattress I need a stepstool to get into bed- seriously. I feel like Princess and the Pea! But this is a great frame for our Cali-King mattress, and we love that we don't need a box spring. It was super easy to assemble and is well made and durable. This platform bed frame is the best I've ever seen. The wood slats are strong and numerous, able to hold a mattress properly and perfectly. The frame is easy to put together -- and to take apart. I wanted this for times when I have company -- and for my husband and I the next time our waterbed mattress needs replacing. I wanted California King since that's the size of all my sheets and blankets and those can be harder to find. A bed this size takes up a lot of real estate and we don't want it eating up most of the spare room when it's not in use. The easy-assembly/disassembly of the frame comes in handy here. We can stand the mattress against a wall when not in use and simply and easily put the frame back in its box. No more having to have guests sleep on the sofa -- and no more doing that ourselves when waiting for a new water mattress to arrive. Strongly recommended!
