It doesn't fan out as wide as i'd like, and you have to torque that nut hard to keep the fan on width. I'm still gonna buy a wood handle rake with a wider set fan, but this one is ok for a 2nd garden rake...

While this isn't a bad rake, it isn't nearly as wide as I had anticipated, and the rake head moves around rather than remaining in one place. Perhaps this is a feature, but I don't find it to be a helpful one. As for sturdiness, time will tell. Like many other things, rakes aren't made to last as long as they used to, and I haven't had this one long enough to know whether it will hold up. It does work. In that sense, it's not a bad rake.

This works great. It expands with the adjustable screw and is lightweight and easy to use and can easily be closed up dor storage when not in use. Beats those plastic ones that break when outside dor very long in the sun, because this ine is metal and not affected by sun or temps. I wish I had gotten this years ago, I would have had much less weeds pop up with those little burrs that get stuck in my Dogs furr. Get it and use it...what are you waiting for?
