  • The Best!
Size: King Style: Mattress
My boyfriend and I call this the melatonin mattress. Even if we lay on it to just simply scroll on our phone or to watch TV, we end up falling asleep every time! A nap that was meant to be for only 20 minutes turns into two hours. The most comfortable bed, it stays cool and doesn’t sink you in like many memory foam mattresses. We’ve had this mattress for over a month and are still surprised every time with how well we slept. We don’t wake up with any aches or pains like we did with our old mattress that we paid almost triple what this mattress costs. Only complaint would be that it was so hard to get up the stairs when it first arrived because it is so heavy and the box was hard to grip on to, it kept tearing as we held onto the box. ... show more

  • The best bed ever
Size: King Style: Mattress
I've had my bed now for like 3 years I think and it is amazing. Not too soft, not too firm. Great support. King size bed. Hasn't broken down. I remember it did have a weird smell when I got it and had to let it air out and inflate all the way before sleeping on it but this is a purchase I would make again and again. The pillow top is luxury quality. For reference, I weigh 125 lbs, my bf weighs 190 and we have 2 medium sized dogs who sleep with us. My bf had a purple mattress when I moved in with him and I had to switch us to my bed because I absolutely could not sleep on his bed. It had zero support and I kept waking up feeling like I had been sat on and crushed in the night. When we got my bed out of my storage unit a month later, all the pain went away and I was getting restful sleep again. This is a necessity I will not compromise on. I need this bed now in order to get good sleep. ... show more

  • These compare in quality to Stearns and Foster mattresses (according to my wife, who fell in love with one of those...)
Size: Twin XL Style: Mattress
The media could not be loaded. We purchased 2 twin XL mattresses to go with our twin XL adjustable bases (these are known as 'split king' in some areas). We had the bases sync'd together under our previous king size mattress and it was great; until we went to sleep. There were times that I wanted to be in a 'zero G' position, but my wife was sleeping on her side, so... After waking up one morning, I decided enough was enough and we need to split (beds, that is!), so we went looking at mattresses and was totally shocked by the costs on 'some' mattresses. You've seen them, I'm sure. Now some of those mattresses might be just like sleeping on a cloud that's constantly refreshed and rocked by angels, but I'll never know, because I won't pay $2000 for a twin XL mattress! Holy cow! So, we headed to Amazon. Now buying a mattress online, without a means to test drive it, is a little daunting to say the least. After cruising through several brands and dozens of reviews, we settled on this one! We're only about 2 weeks in on these and are very pleased that we went with this brand and style. I've uploaded a video to show the unpacking. The UPS delivery tracking stated '73 lbs' per box and they were packed in 2 separate boxes, about the width of the mattress (imagine that!). You'll see me hauling these in. I'm 6' 4" and 320 lbs, so they weren't a big deal for me to get them in, but be careful if you aren't a moose, just get some help. I would have, if I needed it. I took them downstairs to unwrap and let them air out. They're wrapped up in a vacuum packed bundle, with tape around the roll. The roll is about 13"-15" inches for the twin XL units. Being super careful while using a knife to cut the tape and unroll each one, they start to expand really well once you've unrolled them. The first one that we unwrapped, you can see my son reacting to the high-pitched whistle of air being sucked into the bag! They do have a pretty strong 'gel-foam' aroma when unboxed, but it decreases a lot by the next day. It takes a few days to go away completely. We purchased mattress covers to go on them and that helped A LOT with the smell ! Sleep Tite by Malouf® Hypoallergenic 100% Waterproof Mattress Protector- 15-Year Warranty - Twin XL Once fully 'inflated', the mattress lives up to it's billing of 14", so you'll want to be really careful picking out sheets. We got a set of flannels that listed as 'fitting to 16 inches' but there's no way that was true. Maybe 16 inches if you compress it and let it snap back...! There might be people who will tell you "yeah, but ours has this warranty" or " we'll be here if you ever have a problem with it" or something to that effect, but you're not really going to have better luck with them, and you almost certainly will NOT get a better nights sleep that makes up for the $1700 difference in price! Overall, for the cost/comfort ratio, these mattresses are working out very well !! I'll post updates periodically to let you know how well they do over time! ****UPDATE**** It's been a bit over a month since we got these, and they're still GREAT! We have these on adjustable bases and they are able to flex sufficiently to get into any of the positions that the bases can do! I'm sleeping great and between these and the 'zero G' option on the base, my near constant lower back pain is gone! I wake up in the mornings without pain! That, by itself, is worth the cost of the mattresses and the bases! The mattresses are doing their job, and they have no sags or any other 'breakdown' type issues, like dipping sides. Though, with this set, they're pretty tall, so they don't get sat on a lot by anyone, just looking to chat in the mornings. I'll keep you posted! ****2nd UPDATE**** It's been 4 months now and these mattresses are still doing their job! I'm very pleased! For these to be worth it (for me) they'll need to hit 2 years, so I'll keep you posted. Still no issues with 'perma-dents' or anything like that and I'm still low-back pain-free in the mornings! Yay! I think the only thing that *still* gets me is the height! Man, these things are tall. As a result, I need to wiggle about a bit to get positioned where I want. Before, I'd just kinda 'drop-roll' because the mattress was lower and that would get me where I need to be, but not with this set! Oh well! ;) ****3rd UPDATE**** It's now been over a year and I'm still very happy with this mattress. A couple of things that I've discovered that may help someone is, 1) use a mattress cover of some kind, and 2) you'll need 'tall' bottom sheets, of good quality and that should help a lot with the overheating. I still don't have any break-down on the sides or the top (no low spots or sinking!) I'm still using this mattress on the adjustable base and it's still in great shape! So far, a good value for the money. If I can get another couple of years out of it, I'll be happy! That's about the time that I'll be looking for something else (I'm getting older after all!). ;) ... show more

  • Great value so far
Size: Queen Style: Mattress
I needed another mattress being on an Ikea foam mattress for over 10 years. Finally got tired of the divot in the middle. So off I went hunting down mattresses on the cheap vs. best performance vs. value. I wanted to do this online. i did not want to go into mattress stores and deal with sales people, retail markups, high pressure tactics. So I ended up here and finally settled on this mattress. I had heard about hybrids so they intrigued me. So I got this mattress, I wanted something tall. I'm 6'0 - 210lbs. and something firm. I'm a side, back sleeper, so getting a firm mattress would let my body work the mattress over time to get it to the firmness within a month or so. Depending on how that works out, I might end up getting a topper. Okay, enough of the preamble. On to the good stuff. So, the box this mattress came in was a joke. It was nearly destroyed, cut in half, taped up, gashed to hell, but the plastic wrapping this mattress was in was unscathed which was great. Seriously, Classic Brands, up your game on your cardboard packaging. It is subpar and frankly offensive. You'd have better success wrapping this thing up in a giant gunny sack with a drawstring at the top. Awful how you cheaped this out. Do better and don't charge for it either. Also, there were no instructions in the box either. They probably got blown out somewhere between the crappy box getting blasted open. Either way, you can go to the Classic Brands website and download the instructions/watch a video to see if there is anything special. You should always read instructions on anything you buy. It will save you tons of time and it shows some respect for the people who took the time to write them. Just my 2 cents on that one. So, I'd say that you should position his mattress on the frame and see where the end is because once you cut plastic, you have to work quickly to get it off because this mattress expands very very quickly. I got a queen and it went into an Ikea pocket bed with a wood slat bottom. It fits in there neatly. Some sizes are a little over or a little under, this is dead on, so big plus there. So, as this bed is expanding and opening up, I remember reading about people talking about the smell. Yeah, it's there, but it's not that bad and it's not unpleasant. One thing you should do is grab the top at the edges and pull and separate it and let it open up. It sounds like your ripping the mattress fabric, but your not. This thing was vacuum sealed and compressed, help it out. I went around the whole perimeter of that top and pulled on it to open it up. It really speeds up the process. Now the instructions say that you should wait 24 to 72 hours before you should sleep on this mattress. That's nonsense. I know they have to say that, but to expect people to sleep elsewhere before using this bed is unreasonable. The instructions also say that you should leave the mattress uncovered to let it our out more. Not unreasonable to ask that. This mattress wasn't too awkward or too heavy to maneuver upstairs. It takes a little time to slowly manipulate it and flip it on the stairs from one end to the other, just be careful that it doesn't slide out from under you. that can happen easily with it rolled in smooth plastic. A couple of other observations. The stitched section pockets on the top of the mattress are uneven and not even straight. There is a section where it curves around the corner goes straight across the bottom and it tapers into a narrow section. Clearly done by hand and by someone going so fast that they didn't care. The second thing is that the foam encasement around the covered coils is thin. Thin as in, I can feel the coils at the bottom. Would it kill the manufacturer to use a little more foam to at least give the perception that the coils are well covered and bolstered? Come on Classic Brands. Hell, try stuffing left over foam from your manufacturing process or something into the sides to give the bottom soft umpf and heft. So how does it sleep? Pretty damned good so far. It's a little spongey and you can feel the coils kicking in, but it holds me up and keeps me from sagging. That's a huge plus. I've slept on the edges and the middle. The edges take a little time to get used to. The sagginess there is noticeable, but it isn't bad. It was worse on my Ikea foam mattress. The middle is pretty good. I'll say this much, my back doesn't hurt half as much as it used to and my sleep is a little more refreshing. I think it will get better over time. Otherwise, I think this was a good investment. Even if this thing lasts 2-3 years it was worth the price. It's cheap enough to get another one and keep cycling them that way. For the money, it's a no-brainer. I'll update as things progress over time. ... show more
