I waited far too long to get one of these. I had read other reviews about how badly it was but dismissed most because rather than give a deep review of just how it under performed they were mostly anger filled rants and I don't have time for those. I decided to go to the My Pillow website and check them out since they have so many different fills and sizes and on Amazon they don't have any way of helping you find the one the is right for you. On the My Pillow web site there is a 5 or so question survey you take to find out what type of pillow is best for you. I thought, 'They can't be serious, this short questionnaire is going to determine the right pillow for me?' So I filled it out and it said I needed the firm fill, 'FIRM FILL?! are they kidding!?' Firm pillows have never been comfortable for me. So, I decided maybe this pillow wasn't for me and let it go. A few days later I went back to the site and read more of the information on the pillows they provide again and took the same short survey with the same result (I wasn't expecting a different answer btw) but this time the idea was growing on me. I went back and read a lot of the 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon and I began to feel that this may be something that could work out. I had planned to buy it from Amazon so if it didn't work out returning it would be fast and easy. BE READY! when it arrives it is rolled up tight like a sleeping bag and once opened it is FLAT. I thought, 'WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?', BUT there is a set of instructions that tells you to put it in the dryer for 15 minutes to fluff it up. I thought, "Fluff it up!?, I toss pillows when they look like this!" GRRRRRRR, So I put it in the dryer and son-of-a-gun it was fluffed up 100%. OK I was impressed and my frustration was quelled a bit. ONE THING TO ALSO NOTE, there is a strong manufactured smell to it. I washed mine twice and dried it several times over two days but the smell just doesn't fade very quickly. I left it in another room for about 5 days before the smell was gone enough to be use-able so be ready for a bit of a wait. After all of that this pillow actually worked out PERFECTLY! I had serious reservations about a firm pillow being comfortable but because of the fill, which are unique foam pieces, there is plenty of 'give' when I rest my head but my head never sinks into the pillow deeply, it stays right where it needs to be all night. I sleep better and longer, get more rest and do wake up with no neck stiffness. Before buying off Amazon I recommend going to the My Pillow website and taking the short questionnaire, it helped me a lot in deciding what was the right fill for me and also keep in mind that items like pillow types are not universally good for everyone. What works for one person may not for another.

With all the bad reviews from previous owners I was extremely skeptical but was desperate for sleep again ( I’m a previous owner as well). Of course the pillow was flat due to being shipped in a tight rolled up position but it puffed up more that I thought possible. You need to follow a couple of simple steps: 1) Remove from packaging. 2) manually break up packed clumps of compressed foam. 3) place in clothes dryer on high heat for 15min (break up clumps again half way through cycle). No Smell, very comfortable, refluffs well as usual, I’ve been sleeping great again!!

If I could give it zero stars I would. I’ve never purchased one of these until recently. I ordered two. They came rolled and compressed. I wasn’t shocked because I thought that it will just need aired to fill. However, I opened it and it was a sack of cloth with a bunch of various sized balls from pebbles to plum sized inside of the sack. When held the pillow up the lumps only filled a third or less of the sack. I thought surely this was a fluke so I opened the second one and it was the same. I returned them both. I ordered two more but different firmness believing that this couldnt happen again. Well it did! I got two more sacks of lumps. I went to the comments and none reflected this issue that I came across. The closest comment was that it was squished but inflated fairly nicely in the dryer. I didn’t put them in the dryer because I couldn’t see where a sack of lumps was going to congeal and inflate in the dryer into a medium or firm pillow. I never ever give bad reviews but I’d be lying if I listed any redeeming qualities here. Don’t waste your time and Money. P.S. the material really smells. Sorry; I really wanted to like these

The standout feature with this pillow is the fill that actually adjusts to different sleep positions. As someone who shifts between side and back sleeping throughout the night, I appreciated how the pillow redistributed its support rather than staying rigidly shaped. This pillow could be a little firmer, but I'm using it as a second pillow, and it works perfectly. This is supportive enough for side sleeping without feeling like a brick when I rolled onto my back. This pillow delivers solid support for multi-position sleepers.

Ok, I fell for the heavy marketing campaign and gave this pillow a try. Once I did, it left me scratching my head wondering why this pillow is so great. In the standard size/format, it's thin and barely filled with foam. After I fluffed the pillow, it made me wonder if they forgot half the stuffing. The foam pieces are very, very lumpy and sparse. My head hit the mattress no matter how I tried to configure it. It's also slightly smaller than "standard". It didn't take long for me to conclude this my not "MY" pillow. 3/5 stars to be nice.

I don’t understand all the bad reviews. I’ve had my pillow for 10 years. I even returned one after 5 years and they gave me a brand new pillow. I can’t remember why I returned one but I love my pillow. I have purchased $400.00 pillows and had to put them on a guest bed or give them away. No other pillow ended waking up with a stiff neck. As a matter of fact I just purchased a Prana Sleep pillow that was a fortune. I tried it in the store and I thought it was great until I slept on it. I woke up with a terrible stiff neck. I gave it away. Every time I try to buy a fancier pillow I go back to My Pillow.
