  • Great features...but broke after 3 years.
Easy installation, worked like a champ. Easy to adjust...I have to turn the mirror sideways to get the boat into the barn. After 3 years and maybe 20 outings the lock nut for the shaft broke and the mirror won't lock in place extended, and turns in the wind, as others have experienced. The retaining collar is weak and brittle and broke off the nut, so it won't hold the jam washer when the nut is tightened...definite design flaw. I've epoxied the nut directly to the washer in lieu of the collar, which I expect to be serviceable. If not, I'll be trying-out Customer Service. ... show more

  • Good purchase for intended use
Works great but the only problem I have had is that it is very difficult to stabilize, even after screwing it down into its holder using force. Always have to re tighten and readjust during use. For the price I can live with that but it seems as though there should be a better way to tighten the support shaft for the mirror. ... show more

  • It's alright
The product works, but I honestly expected a sturdier product for the price. However, I suppose everything is more expensive for boats. Lol I am going to remove it while not in use, because I think it will last longer if it's not in the elements. It's relatively easy to assemble, but I wish they didn't used the Allen head set screw to secure the mirror angle. I'd rather have a finger bolt to adjust it when needed. Also, if they made the rail securing bolts longer, you could have more mounting options. I have a hard top, and the aluminum square tube holding it are smaller than the fence tube. It's fine on the fence bit won't tighten enough for the rough frame. Overall, it's nice, but it's little on the pricey side for what you get. Next year, I'll edit this review with a follow up ... show more

  • Great customer service
Great customer service. First one came damaged. Which will happen. And they send another one out right away. And the product arrived as described and very sturdy

  • Received with mirror frame broken
The mirror arrived with a broken mirror frame. The heavier metal parts in the box were not rapped in any kind of bubble rap so I’m guessing they were just bouncing around in the box and that’s what broke the mirror frame. Also, the the advertisement shows 1 of 2 mirror mounting shafts, but there is only one and it was the 1 that would stand the mirror straight up. Looks like it would work fine, but I never installed due to broke mirror frame. ... show more

  • Just poor workmanship. The other issue I have is the ...
Mirror and mounting bracket seem well made but I have a couple of issues. First, the threaded ball that holds the mirror onto the arm appears to not have the threads cut all the way. I now have to try to find a metric tap to finish threading the hole or purchase a shorter bolt. Just poor workmanship. The other issue I have is the mounting bolts in the rail bracket torque down directly into my pontoon's rail. It would have been nice if some intermediate piece had been provided so I don't mark up my boat's rails. That would have been a simple addition that would have increased the product's value in my mind. Because of the mirror mounting bolt issue I don't have it mounted to my boat yet. Will review further when I get that issue rectified. Update after using mirror. I found a replacement screw at a hardware store and was able to mount the mirror. I fabricated a cushion to put between the mirror bracket and my pontoon rail so as not to scratch it up. Now the mirror works great. It is very steady, gives me great vision in areas I was constantly spinning around to check before. It folds down nicely so it's out of the way of my cover. I would give this mirror five stars if I hadn't had the screw issue and had they included some form of padding to protect my boat rail. But as is I would give it four stars. ... show more

  • Best Pontoon Mirror EVER!
Wow - Love this pontoon mirror! I've looked at a lot of mirrors for pontoons and this is by far the best I've come across. If you own a pontoon you know there are limited places to mount a mirror to keep an eye on the people you are pulling on toys or boat coming up behind you. It's a little expensive, but well worth the extra cost. Easy to adjust, folds down flat when not in use and easy to remove to store away. Several friends were so impressed with it they ordered one for their boats. Stop looking and order this one now! ... show more
