As in the photos several have posted, there are form trays with cutouts for your cigars to rest in. I personally took out three trays and turned the bottom one upside down (providing flat surface) and currently have 75 robustos nicely stored. The gasket came out the first time I opened it, but reset perfectly and has not come out since with almost daily use (I think it just needed a little moisture). I use a Boveda 69% 60-gram pack in mine and can attest to the quality of this travel humidor being near perfect (I am in an overseas ultra-arid climate with only 10-15% humidity and the pack has lasted 5 months). Built similarly to a Pelican Case but not even close to that level of price, this case will go the distance. I have had mine now for eight months now and foresee no issues the case having. In fact, four people that I work with have now ordered this case due to mine being such a great price and quality. Update: Two years since initially purchased. This case is absolutely fantastic. I left my case for 3 months and the Boveda pack was still at 60-70%. I wish all my purchases were as good as this one. I am a fan for life of this case.

Wicked travel humidor for bringing back cigars bought while on vacation.I don't think I would try to use this long term, but it's great for a weekend or short trip. The box is sturdy and features a purge valve so that you can get it open after you take it on an airplane. Didn't really test how well it keeps humidity with a hygrometer or anything, but the seal is awesome, so one can only assume that it will work well. I use Xikar solution instead of distilled water, and would recommend this to everyone. Seems to work great and I would recommend this purchase to any smoker.

If you don't like fussing with calibrating and maintaining a humidor than get something like this. Wood absorbs moisture, plastic doesn't so pop in a Boveda pack and you are good for months or maybe years. Okay, it is a pelican case with foam that have groves. I removed all but the bottom and top foam and was able to store more cigars. I use it for work, which is on a research ship where I am at sea for days and then when we pull in, some ports have very little choice in cigars. So, I often travel with 50 plus cigars to make sure I am never stranded. But wait, I found another use. Packed two bottles of liquor in it and place that in my soft (duffle bag) suitcase. Protected the bottles and still held my cigars left.

Updated Review ================= Its now been almost 18 months since my last review and my rating still stands. The humidity has kept at a constant 69 since I changed to Boveda 69 humidifiers (I have three in there) and initially had about 70 cigars, comfortably with no fluctuation on the hygrometer. Now there are a bit under 40 but you can see from the new images that 2 cabinets of 25 cigars can easily fit and then some space for additional free standing cigars. Great purchase! ================================================================= Original review ================================================================= This is my second molded plastic humidor and this guy is big. Not in a bad way but if you were expecting a compact humidor, this is not the one for you. Contents: It comes with a humidifier and four (4) foam inserts. I never use the humidifiers that come with humidors and always opt to use Boveda packs due to the ease of use especially with molded plastic. The foam inserts have narrow cut outs and would not put cigars on them unless they are in a tube to avoid them getting squeezed. It seems to me that anything over a 46 cepo will not fit. Not a big deal for me but if that is what you were looking to get then again, this is not for you. I am only using two of the four foam inserts. the bottom one is flipped so the flat side is facing my cigars, then the next one is face up with tubes. Without the foam, this humidor can easily fit 40 toro cigars and probably 50 plus robusto or smaller cigars. In my picture, the bottom row has 14 cigars, some with 48 cepo and the rest are 54. I only have one 72% boveda pack and the humidor has kept a 70% humidity. I have added two pictures to compare the 15 capacity vs 40 capacity humidor. Another update to come after about 6 months.

This is a great means for traveling with your cigars and or storing cigars for a great price. The inserts can be removed and the bottom can just be left and many more than 40 cigars can be filled. I note many negative comments about the seal being too big. It just needs to be taken out and put back in. My 17-year-old fixed it for me in a couple of minutes. No need to cut it nor give up on it. I highly recommend it to my fellow cigar smokers.

I got this traveling humidor for my husband after we saw it at a cigar shop for $20 more than what I paid for it on Amazon. My husband loves it! He went to the local cigar shop to try to fill the humidor up. He came back back saying, “Man this thing can hold a lot of cigars.”

Works well, good size and value for money. I wish it had a better way to store the fluid to keep cigars at the proper humidity, the one that comes with is pretty cheezy.
