    • Cool but very time consuming.
So the system is cool and does its job of being able to display all the cameras at once time. I spent a bit of time trying to track down wiring diagrams for my truck and after seeing how I would have to route everything I just decided to not wire in the L/R/Rev wires. Wired up like a regular camera system it works just fine. I have it down low on my center console so that I can use it with a trailer. Works great for what I use it for. ... show more

I probably should've picked up on the fact that this wasn't plug and play when I read the description, but somehow, I missed that. Still, I thought it couldn't be that hard to get this connected. After all, I didn't need all the cameras, just the screen. I probably could've done just that had there been actual instructions that came with this product. This came with a postcard sized piece of paper that identified what the wires were and what they should connect to, but no diagrams or instructions beyond that. This was installed in my brother’s small new RV truck (it’s newly acquired but used). I didn’t do the installation, so it didn’t look too hard from the sideline, but it took a bit of time for my brother to completely set this up. Once set up, the system looks really cool and performs as advertised. The touch screen displays clear images from the cameras, so we have no complaints so far. The interface is easy to operate with a touch function. This thing is great. You can see what the motorhome had before for a back up camera. So this will be so nice to not have to yell to ask a kid if someone is in my blind spot! The instructions are terrible. Basically you can mount a couple of the cameras under your side view mirrors and one in front and one in back (longest wire has red pigtail wire to connect to the back up lights to make it full screen when you are in reverse). Each camera has a trigger wire so you can connect the side cameras to the turn signals so any time you turn left it will make the left camera full screen. There are a lot of different display options for the different views on the screen. There is supposedly FM radio and video options as well as mirror screen for your cell phone(?). I wish I would have had this on our big trip. It could have saved me a lot of worry and trouble (e.g. parallel parking the motorhome in a terrible rain storm in Georgetown or when I hit some tree branches and ripped off the water heater cover). ... show more
