I purchased this hood for a kitchen remodel. The installer didn't have any issues putting it in, and it's beautiful. It is about as loud as a regular vent hood - I would not call it quiet or loud. But it is effective and helpful at exhausting fumes and heat. Looks and functions exactly as described.

Installed myself, took a couple hours to remove the old one with a broken fan motor and replace with this one. Wasn’t an exact replacement but I was able to get it installed. The stainless vent cover install was the hardest part, the screws provided for the stainless cover were too big, had to grind them down to fit. Works well but it’s very loud. Have to turn it off to hear the TV in our open floor plan kitchen/living room. Have not tried the internet or app connection. If I had known it was so loud I’d have gone with something else. ... show more

Many scratches in the stainless steel. One of the grommets that holds the glass to the fan housing was broken. One of the lights had popped out of the hole. The scratches are mostly on top and not visable. The grommet was an easy fix and the light was a pain to get back in there but it went back in. At least when I plugged it in it worked. I would have sent this back but the replacement might be even more damaged. The days of expecting perfect or pristine equipment are over. It just depends on how many imperfections you want to tolerate. For the money, I would have expected better quality. This shipped from the factory like this and was not damaged from delivery. Update** 09/06/2020 unit completely quit working. No light and no fan. Was really surprised this piece of junk lasted this long. ... show more
