i wanted to give this 5 stars, however!! the coat was supposed to come with a detachable hood and extra buttons and came with neither. Hence the 4 stars. The style is very nice and was exactly what i was looking for. The Size is slightly small, really in the hip area for a woman that wears a large. (I am a size 12 in jeans and this is snug around the hips.) The weight is very nice, not feeling too heavy but heavy enough to be comfortable and the warmth is spot on, I just used it in 30 degree weather is did fine, however I wouldn't want to get caught in the rain with it, I think it would be very heavy if it got wet!(ill try to update if it ever happens!) The coat is very cute and I really wanted to keep it. When selecting colors, I noticed some options were listed as polyester and others as cotton. I specifically chose a color that was labeled as cotton. However, the coat I received was fully polyester, which was confirmed by the labels on the garment. Unfortunately, this was not what I was looking for, so I’m returning it. I hope the product details can be updated to accurately reflect the materials. ... show more

    • Warm and Flattering
This is my now my favorite coat! It’s soft, warm - no weird factory smell. The sleeves are long enough for my long arms. For reference, I am 5’7, 145 lbs. I got the black and white pattern. Medium. True to size. The pattern is fun! Kinda 70’s looking. So if you like the vintage look, this coat is for you This coat also camouflages my Mommy pooch Lastly, most importantly. It’s warm. Like wear-at-a -Thanksgiving-Day-parade-outside warm. Love that it has a hood too in case it rains. I don’t like wool coats that don’t have hoods. I also read that it’s nachine washable. So no dry cleaner bill is nice. We will see how this holds up being washed in cold water and hung dry. Time will tell. Only gripe I have is the sash. It’s long enough to lasso a warthog. Just too long. I don’t use the buckle, I simply tie the sash. Someone good at sewing could cut it off and restitch the end ... show more

    • Pretty in Pink but... CAVEAT EMPTOR
The coat is very soft and warm with a detachable collar with snaps. The size is a (small) Medium which fits nicely but would not allow a bulky sweater to be worn underneath. The downside is that it arrived bunched up inside a plastic bag which will definitely require a thorough steaming to remove the wrinkles, which I will have done immediately in case it has to be returned before the Return by Date. Overall, it is a surprisingly nice product. [NO crazy, what-in-*ell is that smell in the fabric!] Now for the BAD NEWS- The steaming worked ok, but I noticed the slight marks on the (very long) belt were not topical but within the fabric, like a dye that rubbed off from another garment or ??? Then, I found several small but noticeable stains on the side near a pocket and a few other places. I would return the product for an exchange or full refund, but it's such a hassle and time consuming. So, I will post this review as a CAVEAT EMPTOR and I will contact amazon directly to alert them of this problem. It is unknown as to where the bundling and wrinkling and stains happened, or at what stage of the manufacturing process/packaging/shipping&(mis)handling, or where, but it's totally unacceptable, and will result in returns, complaints, and amazonPrime membership cancellations. Consider me: FED UP!!! ... show more
