I have a bad hip and some chairs hurt to sit in. My husband has been nagging me to get a recliner for awhile now, but I have been hesitant because I don't like the way recliners look. They're just too big and too bulky and I didn't want one in my living room - then I found this lovely little chair! It is so supportive, not at all bulky, and I think it is super stylish! It came in a very large box and my hubby had it together in just a few minutes! I love the attention to detail in this chair! Chair looks great! Assembly instructions could have been a little bit more informative in regards to adding the back to the chair. Had to figure out how to get it securely locked in by prying out a little lever. Once assembled, it seems fairly sturdy. I wanted a firm chair, and it is firm and supportive on the seat. The back leaves a little to be desired. There isn’t a lot of puffy padding, which is what I was looking for, but there is absolutely no lumbar support, and it gives quite a bit when you lean back on it. The reclining function works well, though you have to position yourself carefully in the fully reclined Position so it does not go back to the semi reclined. Overall, I like it, but it falls a bit short in supportive positioning. ... show more

I've never bought furniture online before so I thought I'd start with this chair as I plan on using it in a seldom used guest bedroom. I haven't moved it to the bedroom yet as I'm using it in my living room until I buy a chair, which I won't buy online. I ordered the light blue color and it is very close to what is shown in the picture. The chair came with some assembly required, you have to simply screw on the legs and the attach the back and wings. It's not too difficult to assemble but I think that because of that it's a little flimsy. The chair wobbles about if you rock it side to side. I noticed in one review that one side of the chair broke and I can certainly see that happening. I wouldn't recommend sitting in it with one leg over the side for sure. Because this chair is a bit flimsy I wouldn't recommend it for use in high traffic areas, thus the reason I'm buying my living room chair at the store so I can check it out before I buy it. This chair manually reclines which is not a problem unless you have a bad back, which I do, I've had some trouble getting it to recline. I suggest a darker color if you will use it regularly or cover the arms with something to keep the dirt from showing as I've already noticed a slight tinge on the arms from wear and tear. I did notice a slight snag on the front of the seat cushion, however, I won't return the chair because of that, I can simply through a shawl over it to cover that up once I get it into the guest bedroom. If you don't like the chair you only have 30 days to return it, just saying, but I like mine enough to keep it and may buy another one after I remodel my master bedroom. ... show more

I really didn't think they would be as nice as they are for the price, but they are lovely. Good fabric, sturdy, didn't need assembly. They look really nice. The gray is what I call a bluish gray. There is a slight blue tint to it, but maybe I see it because I paint. My mom can't see the blue color so to her it's a charcoal gray. I don't know if it is me or the construction but I do have to put a pillow behind my back to be comfortable, it seems to have a bit of a curve, but it doesn't look like an issue. Color described as charcoal is blue more than charcoal. Two recliners purchased together are failing 3 positions as described. I can get one position only. fully laid back does not hold and moves forward and up to an uncomfortable position for me. I am 5'7" and my legs at lower calve overhang footrest causing leg discomfort after a half hour or so. Back of chair flops back and forth an annoying inch or more. Back feels flimsy. The fabric and upholstery other than color is 5 stars. Assembly took me most of a day for the two chairs. Needed to force or pound some parts to fit. Hardware was mismatched for hole alignment and needed to drill out 2 holes. Chairs are within warranty. Manufacturer has no field service. Customer service experience was almost rude, with no flexibility. I give phone experience 1 star. Expected me to jump through many time-consuming hoops, to get replacement mechanisms only. Note: warranty offered was for parts only. The mechanisms would be difficult to remove and install replacements. Mechanism is spring loaded with Iron parts and levers. In my opinion it would be dangerous for me as an elderly retired paper pusher, with little mechanical ability. I will just live with them the way they are, but never order any product made by this company again. ... show more

Love this chair. So easy to assemble. Very comfortable. Easy to recline, one thing though, I have it against a wall, if I want to recline it I have to pull it away from wall first. Perfect size for me, in a studio and needed a exact size chair and this was it!!! Very solid chair. Great price too!!
