I needed to order a recliner for my father who had a stroke. At 80 years old, I wanted him to be comfortable so he could watch television, while not able to walk on his own , he needs to sit down. This chair is extremely comfortable, rocks, and the recliner foot rest allows him to have his legs up. I highly recommend this chair. I called my father’s neighbor who with me, unboxed the chair outside, then we brought it inside to assemble. No problems, chair has clip assembly that the pieces slide into place without tools. recliner delivered faster than expected. was much easier to assemble than I had expected. only took about 5 minutes to put the back and arm rests on. did not know what to expect with the red leather but it is a wonderful color and blends in nicely with our Livingroom. Foot rest releases easily but is a little hard to lock back into place while sitting back up but, I prefer it to be a little tight as it will probably loosen with use. its not a problem for me . bought this chair to add to our living room and it is so soft and comfortable. I believe this chair will give me many years of good use. for the money this is the best recliner I have ever purchased. would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable recliner that is eye appealing and super comfortable. ... show more

I ordered this chair in October 2020, I have had it now for a little over 3 months. First, getting the foot to close is a nightmare, I have to kick it several times to get it to lock down. Second, it has never laid back where you can nap in it - I am disabled and often have to sleep in my recliner - now I have to sleep sitting upright! and Finally, about 2 weeks in, the back broke and now I have to sit crookedly with a pillow at my back to seat me sitting up correctly. This is by far the worst recliner I have ever purchased! What are my options? Send it back? get a replacement? Refund? Then what? being disabled, it's not like I can pack it up and send it back, would I even want a replacement of a crappy recliner? no! Refund? Then I am without a recliner that I use every single day.... for how long? I'm stuck until I can afford another one - on a fixed income that's unlikely to be anytime soon. I love this chair. It is soft, comfy, and relaxing. The only problem is the foot rest is so hard to close. I have to get out of the chair with it still in reclining position and kick it with all my might and that still rarely does the job. It takes a lot of strength that I don't have. I have another smaller Christopher recliner that I love. It was easy to put together and is comfortable. It was not available when I ordered this same brand recliner rocker. This one took me1 hour to put together due to puffed up arm back pieces that were very difficult to install. I had no problem putting the back on the seat. However it does not decline unless I pull the latch get out of the chair and push on the arms. Then when foot rest pops out I have to straddle the foot rest and drop down into the chair. I inquired about this problem. They say pull latch move back into the chair and push down. I am not elderly or physically infirm. But their instructions do not work. I have had 2 other chairs with the same type latch. Both worked fine. Is there a trick to sitting back and raising the latch to get it to recline. I need to know what it is. ... show more

I am in love with my recliner. I'm a 5'8" 140 lb dude and this chair is perfect for me. FedEx delivered it right to my door even though I live on the second floor of an apt building, and way earlier than I expected. The arm paddings and seat cushion are a little on the firm side, but still very comfy. The padding on the chair's back and sides are super cushy and feel plush. The look and aesthetic of the chair is exactly what I was looking for and I feel is much more appealing to the eye than many of the other chairs I've seen on Amazon at this price point. It certainly does feel durable and will easily last me a good few years at least, although I will probably be sitting in it with the leg rest down the majority of the time. Like one other review stated, it doesn't lock or click in place when you push the chair's back all the way back, so yes it will slowly start to raise back up if your weight isn't enough to keep it down. Hopefully over time the spring/mechanism will be conditioned to more or less stay in the fully extended position. It's not hard at all for me to close the leg rest. I just followed the chair's instructions which said lean all the way forward to bring the chair's back straight up, then push the leg rest down. Goes back down easily enough for me. :) Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase so far and it is now my favorite chair to lounge in in my living room whether i'm watching TV or working on my laptop. It's an amazing addition to my setup and look forward to many, many naps. I hope you enjoy the photos — I placed the soda can on the arm to give you a reference of size. ... show more

Super easy to assemble, back & wings slide on. No tools needed. Very soft & comfortable. Fabric seems durable. Reclines easily, have to have strong legs to lock it back into upright position. But I think that'll get easier eventually. Glider rocker motion is smooth. Wall friendly too. Very pleased. Great value & looks High End. Totally worth the money ... show more

I loved this recliner because it was so comfy and easy to close. But only had 3 weeks and both sides of chair were coming off and was already beginning to crack so when closing. Wish it was as good quality as it was comfy. Had to return for a refund
