For health reasons back in 2021 I had to stop sleeping on my side, and since we could not afford to buy an adjustable bed or frame it was suggested that I try a recliner. I found this recliner after a lot of searching, and I was genuinely surprised by how great it was when it arrived. I slept comfortably on that chair every single night for almost a full year. At that point I had to get a new one as sleeping on it nightly wasn't really what it was designed for, and so the padding became compressed to the point where all I could feel was the wooden board of the back of the chair pressing into my lower back at night. This became painful, and so we replaced it. The second one was even better than the first one. It had thicker padding, and even lasted about two months longer than the 1st one did. Sadly, though, it did give out in December 2022, and I had to order a replacement. Due to money constraints we couldn't get it replaced until last week (January 11th, 2023. It arrived on January 14th, 2023. I realized immediately that it was not as good as the 2nd one I got. The padding wasn't as thick, there was a weird metal bar at the back of the seat that presses into your backside when you recline, and the padding on the backing didn't come down far enough to prevent the wooden board from pressing into my lower back. I am writing this at 3:59am on January 17th, 2023 instead of sleeping, because the bar and the wooden board are causing me so much pain that I can not recline in the chair for more than a couple minutes. I am extremely disappointed by this last purchase. I truly thought that by the time my health problems were resolved (have made excellent progress in the last couple years) that I would be able to come here and leave a rave review expressing how much these chairs helped get me through some seriously difficult times, but instead I'm having to come here to tell them that they have lost a customer. I will not be buying another one of these in the future, and if possible I plan to return this one as soon as I can so I can try to find something else to sleep on instead. I was truly impressed by this chair the first two times, but this last one showed me I can't trust that this company will ever provide me with a consistently trustworthy and sturdy product. If you're buying this just to relax in from time to time it's not terrible, but even then you can't trust that it won't show up with less padding than shown or padding that slides up and exposes your body to painful wooden boards or metal bars. ... show more

I've gone through the reviews for days because this decision was important. Not only do I have to like it, but more importantly the 1-year-old has to be good with it. She tucked in and fell asleep so comfortably. I can not talk about the quality of the material and how it holds up just yet, but I will as time goes on. It will get heavy use from the little one and she's a little monster so I'll see how it holds up soon enough. As for right now, the material is soft and comfortable. I find the general comfiness of the chair is great for a blind amazon purchase. When reclined, you can feel a bare wood beam between the footrest and the chair. I had to put a blanket between the reclining gap because it was uncomfortable. It is purely a wood beam with a piece of cloth over it. I'm looking into upgrading that part of the chair and adding some sort of cushion if it doesn't interfere with the recliner in the closed position. Update: leaned on the armrest yesterday and heard some cracking. I don’t know how that’s going to effect the longevity of it but I can now feel a slight depression along certain points of the arm rest. ... show more

the chair is not comfortable because the back does not come straight up and it is on a slant and hurts your back and the foot reset is not padded enough so therfore it hurts the calves of your legs.

Extremely easy to assemble, just slide the back rest into place and it's done, literally seconds Recliner footrest is definitely hard to put back into place. Not a deal breaker but annoying enough that it turns the process of reclining into ordeal... On the plus side, it reclines in two parts, so you can use the footrest with only a few inches between the sofa and a wall. To fully recline horizontally you'd need more space, at least a foot or two. The material is excellent, microfiber "leather", which means it looks like leather from a far, but feels like soft microfiber cloth (and doesn't get as hot) Much better than the fake leather most of these come with, but don't expect it to feel like a normal leather chair either. The box is too heavy for one person to lift, but can be slid into place, keep that in mind when you order it (have it dropped off near where you want it if you don't have help) Long term is still in question. This is cheap on the scale of recliners, I'm using it as an everyday chair and hoping it lasts a couple of years max. I don't see it standing up to any sort of abuse like jumping into it, but it's also cheap enough that shouldn't have. I suspect if you treat it carefully it will last long enough - Update: Figured out why some reviews say the recliner is fine and some say it's too hard! On hardwood and low carpet the sofa frame will shift *just* enough to keep the recliner from going in. The legs of the sofa are a very slippery plastic! Use some furniture grip pads and it'll be perfect. Immediately after attaching them the recliner became so easy to use ... show more

The loveseat isn't very comfortable. I disposed of the boxes so it's going to be a big hassle to return them now. It is hard and not very comfortable. A crossbar hits.right into my lower back. There is hardly any stuffing there. The arms are hard too. They look better in the ad than in person. It's hard to close the recliner up. As soon as I can they are going to the basement.
