I shopped for a wool coat on several brands and found this one for my dlderly husband. He's 5'8" and weighs 270 lbs. I bought him the XXL as he has a stomach and broad shoulders. He tried it on and it fit perfect. The only problem he had was where the buttons were placed. When he buttoned the coat, it was just a wee too tight. So I removed the 3 buttons and re-sewed them closer to the edge of the coat. Now he has more room and the coat fits fine. So anyone else who doesn't have this tummy problem should be fine with the way the coat buttons fit. He likes his coat and has worn it to go to the supermarket yesterday and it keeps him warm even in cold weather. I bought this coat without high expectations for the price. I was pleasantly surprised to find it's actually quite good. I'm 5'9" and 195 pounds with a broad chest and shoulders and I ordered the large, it fits me well. I did notice there is a small amount of padding in the shoulders that is slightly noticeable but with my frame it's not real apparent. The material feels good and it kept me warm in 30 degree rainy weather. I would give the coat 5 stars but it arrived super wrinkled, like it had been balled up in a corner for 3 months before they shipped it. Being what it is it's recommended to dry clean only, I decided for the price I would throw it in the dryer on the wrinkle away setting. It seemed to work without any negative effect on the material and it got rid of 95 percent of the wrinkles. All in all at this price point I would order again. ... show more
