My condo has stairs so it was difficult finding a couch that came in peices that I could assemble & this was perfect! You need two people to assemble, it probably took 20 minutes. The pillows/legs are zipped into the cushions when they arrive, the material is actually softer than I imagined, it is firm but still comfy. No tools required, everything just hinges together. My mother just purchased this sofa, and I put it together. The first thing I noticed was that I was missing the thumbscrews and the back plate. My mother was about to send a request for these pieces, but then I discovered that the design was a little different from what the instructions were describing. Thumbscrews really wouldn't have helped me, and the pieces I had were meant to join together with brackets that slide together. They included the wrong instructions. The sofa's right section and left section was boxed and mailed separately and received three days apart. From a customer service standpoint an email or note telling me the left section box was on its way would have been nice instead of having me wondering what was going on.

I really like this sofa! Sometimes the furniture I get online looks like toy furniture, not this one! I put it together by myself, I didn’t even need tools and I already took a nice nap on it. It’s firm, but I like it that way.
