Purchased the brown leather version on Prime Day. Both boxes arrived much sooner than expected, just 3 days after ordering. All parts were well packaged and labeled. In theory, assembly is very easy given there are only a few nuts and bolts that need to be attached. However, like several other reviews mentioned, the bolts to connect the ottoman base to the ottoman were too short (bolts provided were M6 x 25mm, I went out and bought M6 x 30mm which worked fine). The curvature on the base of the chair was a bit off as well. I had to flatten out the metal a bit, remove the felt pads (attached thinner ones), and use a decent amount of force to realign the bolts coming down from the chair to make it all align, but eventually it did. Many of these issues could be due to shifts/bumps during shipping (though our boxes looked relatively undamaged), so some people may have a much easier time than others Once the chair was assembled, I was very happy with the overall quality and appearance. The chair has a classic mid-century look with modern updates, and the recline and swivel features have the perfect weight/feel. The quality of the materials is top notch in absolute terms, and even more impressive given the price point. As other reviews note, there are a bunch of stickers on the bottom of the bases but they aren't visible the way the chair is set up in our room. I contacted customer service with the assembly issues and they were very responsive and understanding of the issues, and offered up some solutions. Given the overall quality of the product and quick response from Chita company support staff, I'd definitely buy the chair again. ... show more

    • Very Stylish and Comfortable. Outstanding Customer Service.

What caught my interest was the contemporary design and a reasonable price. I needed two chairs but ordered only one initially. I decided to order via Amazon because of the ease and no-cost return if it became warranted. The chair arrived with (4) missing bolts for the Ottoman base. I purchased the 4 bolts from the local ACE Hardware store and assembled the chair and Ottoman without any trouble. I got a very generous credit and a week later a hardware package arrived directly from China. The chair had a small scratch on the underside of one armrest. I was able to file it out. And I got an even larger credit. The chair and Ottoman look very luxurious and are very comfortable. Yes, the chair is heavy and it takes two people to move it around. But in our home it has a permanent place anyways and part of the comfort and looks comes from the solid construction. Not only did I keep the first chair, I ordered the second one about a week later. That one arrived without any flaws or other issues. It is of course to early to judge how the chair(s) hold up over time, but the first and second impressions are extremely positive. And the customer service and responsiveness is as good as I have ever experienced it. ... show more

    • Chair bolts aren’t long enough!

Updated after 1 month!!! We had a heck of a time putting the base on the chair. The curve of the base is not consistent with the curve of the chair bottom. We ended up taking the felt pads all the way off because we couldn’t even use clams to get the nuts on. Even after taking the felt pads completely off, we had to clamp the base down to get one twist on the thread. If I was alone, I would have never gotten this chair put together. I wonder how the noise of the chair will be impacted by not having the felt barrier between the metal and wood pieces. Time will tell! The chair seems like decent quality and will hold up for a few years, but this won’t be a lifetime leather furniture piece. Update: reclines the chair one time. Now it won’t go back to an upright position. The entire reason I chose this chair over others is the ability to recline. Terrible. I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of chair O received. Also, I’m a 5’5 petite female and the chair fits me. Any bigger of a person would not like this chair AT ALL! Chita, what can you do to fix this??? 2nd update: customer service reached out and offered $100 and for me to keep the chair. Suggested I give it to some in need….very odd. I didn’t spend almost $1,000 to donate it. They then offered me 40% refund. I asked for a replacement chair and they said they were worried that if the sent a replacement the same issue would happen… if that is a concern, this product is not ready to be sold. Finally they gave me $100 and are sending a replacement “chair body”. Hope that means a new chair… I couldn’t get a clear answer from the representative that clearly did not speak well enough English to be replying. ... show more

Purchase this on Prime Day discounted by chance but would absolutely pay full price if I had to. Great quality and well made. Easy to assemble, just a few pieces. I love how adjustable this is, I like it more than the Eames chair I tried out.
