i am thoroughly impressed with this chair, both in quality and comfort. it arrived in an obscenely large box, leading me to believe it was fully assembled, but it was not. assembly, however, was thankfully very easy. 3 main parts, the metal support structures, the wooden armrests and the chair itself (and a small lumbar pillow). the metal supports were REALLY well wrapped in some sort of gauze bandage. reminded me very much of the classic twilight zone episode "eye of the beholder" as i was unraveling it lol. everything came in perfect condition, the instructions were well written and assembly all told took maybe 15 minutes (plus another 15 minutes for the gauze unwrapping). the chair is low profile, quite long and exceptionally well made. it has excellent support and therefore is quite stiff at first (which may throw some people off initially), but after sitting in it for just a few minutes you begin to appreciate just how comfortable it is (while maintaining excellent support). it's pretty rare to find a chair this comfortable, attractive and supportive, and after 30 minutes or so you begin to understand why it costs so much. i would urge you to disregard some of the reviews here as i don't think they either a) actually sat in the chair or b) understand what it is they're dealing with. a real metal frame, real wooden armrests, a spectacularly plush and comfortable fabric seat and back with outstanding support and some really nice touches throughout (felt pads for the feet, adjustable feet for imbalances, extra matching lumbar pillow). this is an absolute home run and i look forward to using it as a reading/relaxing chair in our guest room for many years to come. I was pretty impressed with everything about this chair when it came in. The build quality is great and everything assembled very easily. It has a metal frame with real wood armrests and then the main body of the chair that rests on the frame. The instructions are clear and it's pretty easy to get everything together. The instructions recommend leaving everything around 80% tightened until it's all put together. Then make sure everything is shifted properly into place and then tighten everything up. I recommend keeping the Allen wrench nearby and use the chair regularly in the first week or two and retighten everything just in case there is any further shifting and it should be pretty set. When I finished putting this together, I sat down on it harder than I should have because I expected it to be plush. Instead, it was firm so the experience was a little jarring. From then on, I knew to be a little more gentle with sitting down in it and find it to be very comfortable. The little pillow that is included is a nice touch and I typically raise that up as I sit back so it rests in the mid-low part of my back. It's pretty lightweight considering it's size and I appreciate that since I use this in my office as an extra chair that is meant to be usable for playing video games or if a guest comes in. I have only had it a short amount of time but everyone who has seen it has commented about how nice it is. My wife also loves it so that's a huge bonus. This is on the pricey side but this matches the 'you get what you pay for' saying. What I liked about it: Very well made. Comfortable. Cute, useful pillow included. What I didn't like: Not as plush as it looks. Overall, I recommend these if you're looking for something stylish, high quality and comfortable.

If you're looking for a modern armchair with some nice textures and lines, this could work for you. If you're looking for a cozy place to sit and read, move on! The fabric is medium to low quality so avoid if you have kids or animals in the house, and the arms and seat are pretty uncomfortable. It does, however, have really nice lines and is reminiscent of CB2 or even Restoration Hardware style - it looks good from just about every angle. So, I guess for me this would be a chair that's just for looks or occasional waiting, like in an entry way or something.
