This coat looks much more expensive. It’s surprisingly heavy weight. The material is a soft wool blend. The colors are exquisite. The lapel is thick and warm. The rear and front cover the essentials and it’s longer on the thighs. The belt could be longer to make a bow but it’s certainly long enough for a knot. It is a bit big in the waist but not bad enough to return. I felt the shoulders and arms were not restricted as some reviewers said; I felt it was perfectly suited to my frame. I'm always hesitant to buy clothes online from sites I've never heard of. I saw an ad for chicwish on Instagram and loved the coat but was uncomfortable buying from them because of bad past experiences shopping on sites I had never heard of. I decided to give it a try when I saw that they also sold through Amazon with prime shipping and free returns. It arrived on time two days later and I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made it was. The coat is heavy and of great quality. I'm 5'3, 115 lbs and the XS fit me well. The only complaint I had was that although the fit looks great and I definitely wouldn't go a size up, it was a bit tight around the shoulder area. I took a star off because of how much it limits my movement. It would have been better the stitching extended a little farther into the underarm area so I could reach upwards while wearing it if I needed to. I also thought the fold of the neckline was a bit too wide, making it almost look like a built in scarf. It's just part of the style though. If you can adjust it right, it looks good. I do also sort of wish there was some sort of button on the inside to fasten it to when wrapping it on. I like it overall though. I'm returning the coat because as soon as I took it out of the plastic package it was clear one of the arm seams was unravelling and the sleeve was destined to fall off with any wear at all! Pretty shoddy construction. Assuming that the coat wasn't falling apart in that one area, I still would have returned it as it honestly felt like wearing a glorified bathrobe and I could never image wearing it outdoors. The style of coat just isn't really for me! I'm 44" bust and 49" hips, at 5'4": the XXXL size was a perfect size (the size chart said that equates to a US 16 & I'd agree). The shoulders weren't tight at all and it was comfortable to have a T-shirt and light sweatshirt on under the coat at that size. The wool-blend is soft but not very thick and felt a bit cheap overall. Not sure how warm it would realistically be out in the New England cold and should have been priced at or below $50. The best part was the color! The green-plaid is exactly as pictured and a lovely pattern; I wish I could find a nice double-breasted pea coat in the exact plaid! If you want a light fall jacket and enjoy this particular style of coat, and don't care if it's a tad over-priced, then go for it! ... show more

I am 5ft 3in tall, 145-150lbs. I usually wear a size10-12 in jeans. I ordered the red plaid pattern in medium, it was true in color to the photo. The fit is perfect and the cut is very flattering. You can easily dress this up or down. This jacket is surprisingly very warm. The side pockets are just deep enough for my iPhone 16pro, if you have a larger phone or wallet it will stick out. Absolutely my favorite coat, and one of my favorite Amazon purchases of all time. Super flattering, dresses anything up and adds a touch of polish, and with the the wool blend it’s nice and warm. I get more compliments on it than any other piece in my wardrobe.
