I bought several sizes of this rug to make it easier for my geriatric dog to maneuver our bedroom. The good: The color is great, it is very soft (almost silky), and they stay in place on our wood floor. I washed these in the washing machine on a “normal” cycle with cold water and air-dried them and they held up amazingly well! No fibers fell off and they looked the same after washing as they did before! The odd: The almost silky material makes it almost slippery in socks and slippers. You can nearly slide across the rug in socks! The shag fibers are long which makes the rug seem like a Muppet character. The rug will “puff up” in a few days’ time and it becomes thicker and softer, but it’s a thin, cheap rug, so don’t expect inches of cushion. Very thin. I can breathe on it and the fur fluffs! They had packed it for shipping in a bag that had the air sucked out so it took a few days to actually see how this rug was going to turn out. In the photo it looked very thick and soft. Not so.

Although I'm not sold on the color (I prefer a deeper purple), this rug is nice and plush! It doesn't shed, and is easy to vacuum. My cat finds it fun to play with it, so I'll regularly come home to it folded up. It would probably stay better if I used tape or something of the kind.
