These shades really look good! I got the grey ones high sun area window I need a black out effect. A little tip for installing use a little piece of double stick tape to set the bracket flush to the window. This will hold it in place and make it easier to install the screws. I used inch and a half drywall screws to set the bracket to the beam " header". The screws they send are hard to use with a drill gun and don't have the bite of a drywall screw. The center bracket needs to be installed to the left or the right of center to avoid the internal lift mechanism, failure to do so you will not be able to clip the headrail to the bracket. This bracket system is a lot better than the previous little plastic snap box that you have to measure and center perfectly. These you can just eyeball and install. It actually took longer to remove the shade and the hardware from the previous blind than it did to install these. ... show more

I got these mini blinds to replace my old scratched metal ones. I love that these blinds are plastic and they have a slightly translucent to it so that the light can actually come through into the room. Purchased several blinds in sizes 31"W x 36"L and 31"W x 60"L All arrived quickly without damage. Each blind took about 30 minutes to install. Instructions are sparse, but adequate. I installed blinds inside the window frame and I found that each bracket should be approx 3 inches from the edge of the window frame. Since I had many windows to do, I made a template from a piece of cardboard, which greatly improved installation time. The blinds are opaque and don't block much sunlight, but they do provide sufficient privacy. They operate very easily. No problems to report. ... show more

Just got these mini blinds today. I was replacing another brand, that have been driving me crazy for a couple years as they would not go up. I am hoping these last at least a little longer, only time will tell with that. BUT...These are much better quality, even the brackets are better. They go up nice and smooth, they fit perfectly, and I like the bottom is a solid piece instead of how there is always a clump of unused blinds. Very nice style for a simple mini blind. I appreciate these blinds being custom-sized and affordable. Blinds can be so expensive, but these have been a lifesaver for the huge/oddly-sized windows in my old victorian-era apartment. The 4-stars is because unfortunately these blinds are not blackout when closed. A lot of light still filters through the slats, and it wakes me up early in the morning. I'll have to add a second layer of coverage to the bedroom, which is too bad. Otherwise, great blinds and would recommend in most cases. ... show more

The blind looks nice, hardware, everything included. I measured the width, of course, and that fits perfectly. I am so accustomed to just picking a blind that has adjustable length, and I didn't even pay attention to the different lengths. So when this was put up, it's about 6 inches too short! It seems to be for a wide and short window you might find in an office, but not a picture window in your home. So, just take my advice and measure your window in BOTH directions, and you will have a nice blind. ... show more
