The quick-release LATCH provides convenient, one-hand removal to easily transfer between vehicles for an ideal travel booster seat. Built for Comfort The contoured ErgoBoost seat with double foam padding provides comfort and support in all the right places, and a 2-position backrest adjusts to mimic the vehicle seat position. The backrest is also removable to create a backless booster for older children. ClearTex products meet federal car safety flammability standards without the need of added chemicals. Bought three of these booster seats (2 Lilac and 1 Drift) to replace our heavy convertible car seats now that our twins are eight years old and ready for more of a big kid car seat. 2 seats are for main car when transporting both and 1 seat for the spare car when just transporting one kid. These are easy to put together and install. They are light weight too so transferring from one car to another will be a cinch. The kids seemed to like them and say they are comfortable. I read a review in which someone used the packing material to pad the seat more. I did the same with the thicker foam padding in the box. I cut to size and inserted between the seat and the cover. It helps tremendously with the comfort. Just took the kids on 9+ hour car trip without any complaints. The only complaint I have is now I have to help buckle my kids in. It's too difficult for them to get the seat belt around them and into the fastener. Other than that, they seem to be a great transition seat. My children are narrow framed so they fit easily within the seat. I can foresee if a child is larger boned, he or she may not find these seats comfortable so check the width before buying. ... show more

This car seat seems to be a great purchase so far. It feels comfortable, it was slim like I had hoped, the collapsible and easy to remove cup holders are a nice touch, I especially love the ease of the cinch-release if I need to remove the car seat. Other car seats I’ve had were heavy and required quite a bit of effort. I removed one star due to the packaging box. I struggled to open it due to the glue-like residue that sealed the box closed. While it was nice to see it sealed it was unlike anything I’ve seen and took me a while with a lot of hard pulling. Tip: I watched a YouTube video on this exact car seat on how to put it together. My son loves this seat. He feels like a big boy and said it’s super comfortable. I love that it has 2 cup holders, and the best part is that they fold in, if needed. I hate when car seats have removable cup holders- I always loose them when they come off, so this was perfect!     • Removal to clean is a ROYAL PAIN

Love all things Chicco; have had this brand for all my kids but I must say this booster seat does not come without flaws. To remove the cup holders and *especially* the armrest pads for washing is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE U KNOW WHAT! I’m a pro at these things but let me tell you, whoever designed this one with the so called “buttons” to press/pull in order to remove these 2 pieces, should be ashamed. I literally had to get a flathead screwdriver to pull/push the “button” in order to release the armrest covers. Why should it be this difficult or take so long? Ugh. What a pain. And yea I’m pissed right now, thus my review. Hey Chicco, design better “buttons” or make the instructions crystal clear. Otherwise, I love this brand but man, if I had to do all over, I would prob go with another brand. ZERO STARS for ease of removal ... show more

Easy to install and remove, plus very comfortable for my kid. He is able to get in, and there is enough space for him to buckle his own seat belt. The material is easy to clean as well, or to remove and machine wash.
