I bought this to work at my Ebay store when away from my desk. It is fast, it responds accordingly. But the battery does not last but an hour or 2.     • Decent Speed, Nice Looking, but not for New Owners : No Support.

First Off...Amazing packaging....like a Surface Pro level...:)) Biggest CONS, let's get these out of the way : 1./ 2-3 hour battery on You Tube watching. 2./ Quirks and complex initial setup. There are basically ZERO instructions. You will do best only if you have prior experience setting up tablets and/or laptops. 3./ Mine said it could not connect to my internet, but it did after several tries. When I was about to give up, it came alive all on its own. Just had to do internal things to enable a match to the US system ?? (ChicBuy is one of several brand names of this laptop, sold presumably worldwide.) 4./ Finding the Control Panel was a bit of a challenge. I wanted to adjust brightness and check the SSD brand. Got both, eventually. Now the PROS : 1./ Very nice display - good contrast and brightness. 2./ Adequate and clear speaker . ( I'm a senior with some hearing loss, so I appreciate being able to stream without the dang earphones, especially the Bluetooth ones.) 3./ Uses a decent above average SSD , and overall is pleasantly fast to boot and to load programs (apps). 4./ Overall appearance is equal to what I've compared in stores, ranging up to $649. Support is gonna be non-existent. This is a generic, with no service sites or phone support. Your support is you, or your closest relative with tech ability. I'm a few days into this, and still a bit on the fence, even tho I have 30 years experience with computers and smartphones (as an owner, not as a service person). I'm trying to find a source for a replacement battery, and that may be my deciding factor. Not to be nasty, but I'm now leaning a bit toward a Lenovo 3i 15.6"with 4GB/512GB for $60 more : that lack of known brand components , odd control panel interface, and battery replacement questions...those are tough to ignore. The Lenovo is not my favorite, but great value, and batteries are available for $40. ... show more

My previous laptop was so old it could no longer be upgraded, so I was not able to stay current with needed applications. Being on a strict & restricted budget, I needed to find a replacement laptop that would not only fit into my monetary limit, but that would also be reliable, dependable and of good quality. This laptop checks ALL the boxes! I am so happy I made the plunge and ordered it. Setup was a breeze ... as it walked me through every step. I ordered Microsoft Office, and was set up with all my needed applications in a flash. I love the size of this laptop! And even though the keyboard and tracking pad are extremely easy to use -- I'm old fashioned so I added a Logi wireless keyboard & mouse, and also hooked up an Acer monitor -- to provide a complete work station for any need I might have. I've been using this system for several months now, and happy to report I've not experienced ANY problems ... and have ZERO complaints. 100% satisfaction!! And considering the affordable price I paid for this laptop .... I'm a winner. ... show more

I really love this laptop. The only thing is that I have to keep it plugged in because it dies FAST! It literally lasts less than 2 hours. Also, someone recently broke my charger to it and I am having a hard time finding a charger to it. This may be because of the origin of the laptop which sucks.

I like the laptop but the pad is super sensitive sometimes to a fault and it is frustrating! Also keypad for numbers is different than usual. These are my two biggest issues. Seems to operate well and am pleased with it after three months of use

    • Nice setup for most people

Pros-price, 12 g of ram, SSD make for fast startup-less than one minute to get thru login point and onto windows ready to go with whatever app you are using. Great for surfing web, office applications, and email, but I've read online even can handle "light" gaming. No overheating as one person claimed, in fact runs cool and that is supposed to be the case with this version of Celeron chip. The matte finish screen does not produce glare like the machine I replaced this with- that is a huge plus and it supports 1920 x 1080 screen sizes, in which the text is sharp and easy on eyes. I looks at stock charts and they are very sharp with this screen. Track pad responsive. Keyboard is normal size with number pad option. Has couple of USB, card reader, and an HDMI but its one of the smaller ones, not the full standard size one. Cons- some have complained of larger mouse pad. I noticed the difference but not as bad as some have remarked. Not fast for intensive tasks requiring a fast GPU like latest games with detailed graphics. The setup hung up saying I did not have Internet, and the next button was not highlighted to try and connect. I bypassed that and when windows started I easily connected at that point. Has a very basic manual, but most info online these days anyway. The quality and look is very similar to ASUS, which I have used before, and mostly liked. Keyboard is not backlit- which is a bummer in low light situations. ... show more

By and large, a serviceable unit. I've had some issues with the number pad, which seem to be working itself out. Shift key is single key wide which is different from EVERY keyboard I've ever used. All others are double key width. Same with 0 key on number pad. I hit the "right arrow" about 50% of the time. Power cord is WAY TOO SHORT and very light duty. Can't see it lasting the life of the computer. On positive side, good screen resolution, very lightweight and not filled with a lot of useless programs. ... show more
