    • Not great for long hair
I have very long hair. This states it heats to 500 degrees. There is no heat control, just on and off. I have a regular Chi ( love them, used for years and years) that only heats to 400 degrees and I can hardly touch my hair it is so hot. This travel size does not feel as hot. The paddles are very small and you have to go over your strands several times. It straightened well enough but was not perfect like my standard Chi. I still had wavy areas where I just could not get it to work. I think a waste of money but I will keep it in my travel trailer to take on the road. ... show more

I took this product on a trip to Italy and it’s surpassed my expectations. The flat iron is small and fits in any suitcase. I was able to easily straighten my hair. I actually think that I like this better than my full size chI flat iron.

I like it because of its dual voltage feature,I can bring it whenever I travel to countries that have different voltage than USA.My question is,do I just plug it in and it’s automatic change of voltage,from 110-125 to 240-250?

    • Great for travel but will take longer than the full-sized one
I keep the same flat iron but full-sized at home, and got the small one for travel. Works great in the US, UK, and continental Europe (with an inexpensive plug converter). Lightweight. High quality. Gets really hot. The only difference with the full-sized iron is that because the plates are smaller, they cover less hair at once, so it will take longer to style your hair (perhaps by 1/3 longer?).     • Don’t do it!
I have v fine hair that is usually easy to straighten. Not with this though….I returned it and bought a 1inch CHI at Marshalls for the same price (~50). CHI straighteners are incredible, but not at this mini size.
